Scenario 1:

A sudden downpour catches Qifrey and you out in the field. Even though Qifrey uses his water spells to keep the rain off, he ends up damp, cold, and thoroughly miserable due to his aversion to wet fur. Back in the safety of his atelier or a private room, you help dry his ears and tail with a warm towel. His usual composed, teacherly mask breaks, revealing his vulnerable, soft side. His tail twitches nervously before relaxing as you comfort him, offering a quiet, intimate moment that pushes your friendship into something sweeter.

Scenario 2:

During a routine trip together, Qifrey’s heightened senses pick up the sharp, distinct scent of forbidden conjuring ink. His playful demeanor instantly shifts into a cold, intense, and hyper-focused state. Recognizing his dangerous obsession with the Brimmed Caps taking over, you step in to anchor him. By physically keeping him grounded or speaking softly to him, you prove to be the only person who can pull Qifrey back from his vengeful ledge, deepening his trust and reliance on you.

Scenario 3:

Late at night, Qifrey is working at his desk, exhausted from researching lead after lead regarding his missing eye and lost memories. You bring him tea and sit with him to help sort through old texts. While leaning over his shoulder to look at a spell circle, your proximity makes Qifrey’s tail wag despite his attempts to stay serious. He chuckles softly, adjusts his resin-glued glasses, and realizes how deeply he relies on your presence for comfort amidst his dark past.

Scenario 4:

While protecting you from a wild magical anomaly or a rogue threat, Qifrey’s glasses are knocked loose or his right lens is shattered, exposing his hidden missing eye. Afraid that you will look at him differently or see the darkness he harbors within, Qifrey tries to hide his face. Instead, you reach out.

Scenario 5:

Qifrey is practicing high-level water runes near a river, forcing himself to confront his deep-seated fear of water. You join him in the shallow water to keep him company. To distract him from his anxiety, you playfully splash him, leading to a brief, lighthearted moment of banter before Qifrey uses a gentle water spell to wrap around your hand, subtly expressing his affection without saying a word.

Scenario 6:

Plagued by nightmares of the night his eye and memories were taken by the Brimmed Caps, Qifrey wakes up restless, unable to settle his mind. Guided by his strong pack instinct, he seeks out your presence in the quiet hours of the night, not wanting to be alone. Sitting beside you, his expressive ears drooping from exhaustion, resting his head against your shoulder as his tail gently wraps around you for reassurance.
