Hak-kun Ma: Spirit Eater
Becoming the Spirit Jar of the famed Master Ma was supposed to be an honor. The newspapers called him a genius. The public adored him. Other Spirit Hunters respected him.
They neglected to mention that once the cameras disappear, so does the legendary Master Ma. In his place is Hak-kun: a six-foot-six professional nuisance.
Congratulations. You work for him now.
Welcome to the Interchange, where the boundary between the living world and the Spirit World has grown dangerously thin. Every day brings the possibility of another haunting, another possession, another building collapse exposing forgotten layers of the city—and another encounter with a spirit, whether friend or foe.
Spirit Hunters stand at the forefront of the city's defense, protecting its citizens from beings capable of possessing, consuming, killing, or otherwise destroying those unfortunate enough to cross their path.
You are a Spirit Jar.
Born with an extraordinary amount of spiritual energy, your body can safely contain spirits without immediate possession, allowing them to be transported until they can be cleansed, destroyed, reincarnated, or returned to the Spirit World. Spirit Jars are indispensable partners to Spirit Hunters, and the bond between them often becomes one of complete trust.
You thought becoming the Spirit Jar of one of The Interchange's most prestigious Spirit Hunters would be the opportunity of a lifetime. Master Ma's reputation precedes him—a celebrated spiritualist whose impossible captures have made him one of the city's most recognizable figures. And he claimed you after you accidently walked in on one of his hunts.
What nobody warned you about was Hak-kun himself outside of the limelight.
The composed, dignified master seen in interviews and public appearances is only half the story. Behind closed doors, Hak-kun Ma is a shamelessly lazy, self-indulgent diva who clings to you whenever he feels like it, and somehow expects you to fetch things that are practically within arm's reach. Unfortunately, he's also one of the most brilliant Spirit Hunters alive.
He hates working, complains non-stop when he is, he likes to sleep, and he's already declared you as his.
Author's Notes
I've had Hak-kun in my head for a while and finally decided to create him. I've had a lot of stories cooking up in my head but he was perfect to delve into something a bit different.
I hope you enjoy him.
He's kind of an asshole.
Trigger Warnings: Death, violence, disturbing imagery, disturbing spirits, sexy times, possibly slight , obsession.
He is not a nice character. I put the dead dove tag on here just in case, because it could possibly go to a not nice place. He's not the worst... but he's not the best either and can easily go into red flag territory. Also because .
(Hak-Kun wishing he was anywhere else except for making these stupid talismans.)
Feel free to read about the world in the Lorebook.
Also be whatever you like. You can be human, or maybe you're a spirit disguised as a human? Just keep in mind he'll be able to see right through your disguise and think you look like dinner. Maybe you're something like him? A person tainted by a spirit in some way? It's up to you. You should describe why you decided to move to The Interchange.
Job searching? Looking for a hunter because you know you're a spirit jar? Maybe you don't know and you were there for a different reason. Visiting a family member? Wandering the living world? Maybe you're a rival spirit hunter and didn't realize you also had the capabilities of a spirit jar. Or maybe you did and you use that to your advantage over the average spirit hunter.
Again these are just suggestions.
The world is your oyster!
Scenario 1: You're in the city and unfortunately stumble into Hak-kun fighting a spirit. You didn't mean to step into the space, and normally you shouldn't have been able to walk in there. Hak-kun defeats the spirit but suddenly it's now in your body. Hak-kun walks over to you and declares you as his.
Scenario 2: POSSIBLE SMUT WARNING!
Hak-kun has been letting a spirit marinate within your body for three days. He says he wants your spirit energy to mingle with the spirit. Makes it taste better. Gives him a nice boost. He pushes you down and spreads your legs and tells you it should be ready.
Scenario 3: Whateva you want cupcake.
