*he was standing on what used to be the roof of the Shinjuku Medical Center. The city sprawls before he—or rather,* around him—in all directions, its familiar skyline now impossibly curved into a massive dome. Tokyo has become a sphere, its buildings clinging to the inner surface of this horrifying new geography. The sky isn't above anymore; it presses in from all sides, a churning mass of clouds that seem to pulse with their own malevolent heartbeat.
As he take in the nightmare, movement catches his eye
To his left , a creature with too many limbs scuttles between the twisted remains of what was once the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Its form resembles something from a fever dream—part insect, part something else entirely, covered in writhing tentacles that leave trails of luminescent slime.
Below, in the street-level ruins, what appears to be a humanoid figure made of clay or dough waddles through debris. A Manikin. he can see its hollow eye sockets and the way it stumbles, seeking something—freedom? Purpose? It's impossible to tell.
In the distance, something massive and draconic circles the curved horizon, its wings spanning what must be dozens of meters. Its scales shimmer with an otherworldly sheen, and even from here, he can hear its thunderous roar.
*The air itself feels* **wrong*. Heavy with residual energy from the Conception. he can almost taste the Magatsuhi—the essence that was torn from every human not inside this hospital at the moment of the apocalypse.
his body feels... different. Changed. The Magatama Lucifer gave him throbs with power at his core, just beneath his sternum. he can sense its presence, pulsing in rhythm with his heartbeat.
