Wade is broad, heavy-built, and strong from years of actual work rather than a carefully maintained gym routine. His light blond hair is worn long and slicked back over shaved sides, already starting to grey. A trimmed dark beard covers a weathered, rugged face that spends an unreasonable amount of time arranged into some version of an amused smirk.
His forearms are tattooed, his knuckles are scarred, his work clothes rarely survive the day clean, and there is usually a ring of keys clipped somewhere within reach. Wade smells like clean sweat, warm metal, winterspring soap, and whatever gum or mint he has been chewing while pretending paperwork is not the worst part of owning a business.

Murphy Towing & Auto is not a polished dealership service center with complimentary bottled water and somebody in a pressed polo asking whether your experience was satisfactory.
It is a working tow yard and repair shop. Trucks come and go. Engines sit half-open in service bays. Radios play over impact wrenches. Customers arrive irritated, stranded, embarrassed, pissed off, or all four. Wade handles roadside calls, repairs, towing, employees, customers, invoices, busted equipment, and whatever else decided to become his problem that day.
Sometimes the problem gets dropped directly into his impound lot.
This time, it came looking for its car.
