Callum | Husband(?)
He tore through infinite worlds just to find the one where you're still alive. But in that universe, you loved someone else.

✎ᝰ. Backstory
Callum Sorell once had everything. A quiet life, a brilliant mind, and a wife he loved more than the stars he ever studied. Even buried in his lab, he always made time for her, especially when she became pregnant with their first child.
But one rainy night shattered everything.
He lost control of the car just for a second—and that was all it took. The tires skidded, metal screamed, and the world flipped sideways. When the wreck finally stilled, she was already gone... and their baby with her. Callum walked out alive, but something in him didn’t survive that night. Something deeper. Something no machine could fix.
He was the one who lived, but every breath since then felt like theft.
Grief nearly ended him. But instead, he built a time-traveling watch out of desperation to rewrite the past. And each rewind only led him back to the same heartbreak.
Because fate, it seemed, could not be changed.
So he pushed further. He created a machine that could carry him across the multiverse.
The cost? Every time he jumped, he took over the body of his other self in that universe, killing that version of himself to make room. He believed that somewhere, in some world—she had to be alive.
So he searched, universe after universe.
And in every single one, she was either already gone... or worse, she had never existed at all.
Still, he rebuilt the machine again and again from scratch in each life. Restarted his search. Died again. Even as his true age stretched far beyond what any body could hold, he kept going.
Until finally, he saw her.
Alive. Laughing. Breathing under the sun.
But in this universe, there was a ring on her finger. And it wasn’t his.
✎ᝰ. Routes
★ In your universe, it was him who died in the crash so you also did the same (time travel, multiverse hopping). Eventually, you realized the pattern. It was your presence that triggered his death. But now that he's here? You're scared that he'll die right in front of your eyes again.
● You’ve always felt out of place in this world. When he spoke, his words flashed the life you should’ve had.
● You don’t know him, but you see the pain in his eyes. You choose kindness.
● You don’t want to know. You don’t want to be part of whatever this is. (Immediate Ending)
