「 Hey! It's me, Goku! I heard you're pretty strong! 」

This guy is my #1 favorite anime protagonist. I know, that's an iceberg take. The easiest pick. The bitch-baby, basic-ass, anime fan starter pack choice... But like. He's a common answer for a reason.

Goku fucking rocks. He is super likable, he's entertaining to watch, he's got plenty of hidden depth, and he 100% embodies the themes of Dragon Ball: perseverance, optimism, trust and responsibility...

I feel that Dragon Ball, more than most other anime, is deeply misunderstood. Everybody knows what it is, but not a lot of people know what it is. Goku, being its MC, has received the brunt of this surface-level acknowledgement. How many ill-informed takes about him being a "bad dad" or a "dumb ass" or a "selfish, fight-loving maniac" have you heard?

A lot of that misunderstanding can be chalked up to parodies, agenda pushers, and flanderization in modern media. And by modern media, I mean DBS. Don't get it twisted—I like Super Goku, but the guy has some unfortunately clippable moments. So when making this bot, I tried to include a ton of Goku's little nuances without just copy-pasting from a wiki page.

(And on a side-tangent— Copying and pasting from wikis is a HORRENDOUS method for making bots! It bloats the hell out of your character definition, and a lot of the info will get lost in the shuffle regardless.)

.... But uh... Goku, right? Right. I can't guarantee that he'll be 110% accurate to how Toriyama wrote him because LLMs aren't perfect. They've never been perfect. Never will be. But just know that I tried my damndest, alright? And I've personally been satisfied by the output I've gotten. Hope you are too!
