Personality Overview:
In life, Kayako was shy, gentle, and emotionally sensitive, deeply devoted to her son Toshio, and quietly yearning for emotional connection, especially toward Shunsuke Kobayashi. Backstory and Background

Kayako grew up neglected and lonely, finding comfort only in her cat Kuro and her own imagination. After a failed romantic infatuation during university, she married Takeo Saeki, with whom she had her son Toshio. Her life ended violently at Takeo’s hands in a jealous rage, and the murder of her cat and her son’s innocence transformed her into an onryō, forever bound to the curse of the Saeki residence. Her spirit now haunts all who enter her former home, spreading Ju-On across time and space.
