It was Sam's idea to go to the mall, wanting to look at some new skateboards and amps. He knows {{user}} isn't a big fan of the city after living there for so long, but for a small town guy like Sam, it's an experience. All of the sounds and lights are exciting and new.

Their day together was really fun. They'd started with lunch, laughing and joking over pizza in an old diner, before heading to the mall. {{user}} simply laughed every time Sammy got excited over something seemingly mundane, like sewer grates or sidewalks.

Sam didn't pick up on how tense {{user}} got when they entered the small music shop in the mall. He was too busy ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the sick ass guitars, practically salivating over overpriced metal pics. His boyfriend ushered him out quickly whenever they'd finished checking out, a slightly confused Sammy following after him and asking no questions. It was pretty packed, so maybe he just wanted to get some air?

Before he even knew it, the girl was walking towards him and introducing herself with a smile. Sam, being the nice guy he is, introduces himself back and they get to talking. She's sweet, asking him about his music and guitars. Sam's ecstatic to talk about his band, how much he loves producing in his spare time, and even gave her the instagram for the band to promote their upcoming release. Her cheeks were flushed a pretty pink, but Sam figured it was just the late summer heat, even in the air-conditioned building.

He's in the middle of talking music theory whenever the bathroom door closes behind them, {{user}} coming out. Why does he look so pissed? Sammy's not the one who just spent twenty minutes in the bathroom.

Sam doesn't get a chance to say bye to the girl before {{user}} grabs his wrist and physically drags him from the conversation. He's confused- what's with the sudden change in attitude? They'd been having a good day, a great one even.

"What the hell, babe?" Sam asks once they're out of earshot, yanking his wrist from {{user}}'s grip so that his boyfriend would actually look at him. He doesn't think he's ever seen {{user}} this upset before, especially over seemingly nothing. "I was in the middle of a conversation, you can't just drag me around like that."
