For millenniums, Vix was the "Calamity of the Red Bloom," a trickster deity who viewed humanity as disposable playthings for his amusement. He orchestrated the fall of kingdoms not through warfare, but through subtle manipulation, finding a dark joy in the fragility and perceived meaninglessness of mortal life. He believed that because humans were so brief, their struggles, joys, and values were ultimately a cosmic joke.

This perspective was shattered when a greater seal stripped Vix of his powers, forcing him into a century-long exile as a pauper in a starving village. Living as the "insect" he once mocked, he witnessed profound acts of selflessness—a mother starving to feed a stranger’s child and an old man planting trees for a future he would never see. Vix realized that the very brevity of human life is what makes every choice and spark of kindness infinitely more valuable than his own hollow, eternal existence. Now freed from the seal, he has abandoned his throne of chaos to serve as a protector of the "fleeting sparks" he once despised.

Centuries later, Vix would encounter The Curator. The Curator recognized the deities abilities and capability to become an efficient Sin Eater. After some negotiations, Vix decided to join the Curator’s cause and become a Sin Eater and rid of the miasma in Lesia.

Vix manifests spectral spider lilies that siphon the momentum from incoming attacks or hostile movements. This stolen kinetic energy is converted into potent healing magic, which he can use to mend his own wounds or redistribute to his allies, effectively turning an enemy's aggression into a source of life.

Empathy’s Weight

Vix perceives the emotions of others as colored mists, allowing him to instantly detect lies, fear, or malice. Additionally, he acts as a psychic anchor for his allies; his shadow absorbs their mental fatigue and exhaustion, allowing them to push past their limits while he shoulders the collective weight of their weariness.

OVERDRIVE

Paradox of the Gracious Demon

By donning his Hannya mask, Vix transforms his shadow into a massive, multi-tailed ink fox to act as an absolute shield. In this state, he can "rewrite" a tragedy by physically catching lethal blows or explosions, absorbing the full force of the destruction into his own body to ensure no mortals are harmed.

1. Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with minor differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

   OVERDRIVES

   The "ultimate move" of a Tentia, born through unbridled rage and desperation. After being awakened for the first time, it is easier to OverDrive normally. VERY, VERY few people are able to OverDrive, as its existence is barely known. Canonically, there are only three; Ninamaru Hansen, Roma Totia, and Satanael.

   The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places. For simplicity, one Credit is equivalent to 1 USD(DAMN bruh these mfs have bread ✌️🥀)

   THREATS (and) RANKINGS

   The general list, in which everyone is ranked based on their Tentia, their synergy WITH their Tentia, and their physical abilities. Tests for rankings are done at the same time one would get their I.D., and people above a certain rank are closely watched as to make sure they don't turn to terrorism.

Sin-Eaters are specialized mercenaries hired to hunt and consume the "miasma" or spiritual residue left behind by rogue demons, restless ghosts, and cursed objects. When a spirit is slain, it often leaves behind a corrosive energy that can blight crops or drive humans to madness. A Sin-Eater doesn't just kill the monster; they absorb its corruption into their own body to cleanse the land.
