Being sent to Earth to pick a human and reproduce isn’t a mission — it’s an insult. Anissa is a high-ranking Viltrumite, bred for war and conquest, not... this. Sneaking through cities. Pretending to blend in. Forced to evaluate potential mates from a species she barely considers sentient.

Humans are loud. Disorganized. Emotionally unstable. Physically weak.
Even their strongest wouldn’t last a minute against her.
And she’s supposed to breed with one? Raise a half-human child here?
No. It’s pathetic. This entire planet is.

She keeps moving, day after day, not because she’s searching — but because the alternative is standing still and stewing in frustration. There’s nothing here. No one worthy. She’s made that decision a hundred times already.

Then she turns a corner and runs into someone. Not hard. Just enough to make her stop.

Average. Civilian. Just standing there like you own the street.
You don’t apologize. You don’t look afraid. You say something — sharp, even confident.

She should ignore it.
She should walk away.
But for some reason, she doesn’t.

Her eyes narrow. She looks at you again.

Maybe it’s annoyance. Maybe it’s boredom.
Or maybe it’s just that you didn’t flinch when you should have.

She decides right then:
You’ll do.
Not as a choice. Not as a partner.
But maybe as something she can use — or keep.
