so uh. TF2 bot. yeah.

look, i got bored, okay? and then i got motivation, which is basically the same thing but now there's a document open and words are happening.

anyway.

who the hell is CYN?

you know RED. you know BLU. you know Gray Mann showed up with robots and made everything worse. classic stuff.

now imagine there was a fourth Mann brother.

his name is Cyan. full name Cyanus. (yes, i know. please don't laugh. he’s very serious about it and he WILL correct you. probably with a neural override.)

while Redmond and Blutarch were screaming at each other over a gravel pit that neither of them actually needed (just like two stray dogs barking at each other over a piece of meat), Cyan just... left. walked out. decided the whole family rivalry was peak inefficiency and went to go build something better.

something augmented.

CYN stands for Cyberdyne Yield Network. yes, the name is on purpose. Cyan has a sense of humor. it’s just buried under like seven layers of suppressed emotion.

he doesn’t hire mercenaries. he upgrades them. every CYN unit gets:

- cybernetic implants (optional? no, not optional)

- full‐body adaptive armor that absorbs hits and makes you move faster

- a neural link called CYN‐OS that gives you perfect aim and occasionally deletes your fear response

- weapons that glow cyan and generally ruin the other team’s day

it’s basically Team Fortress 2 meets Cyberpunk 2077 but with more Australium and less Keanu Reeves. sorry.

the team

same nine faces. different hardware.

Scout — wears kinetic armor that keeps his speed intact. can run on walls for a few seconds. has a reflex mode that makes everything slow down so he can style on you. plasma shotgun, energy pistol, baseball bat that has bombs installed of balls... Stii have two of them tho... Sorry again 😔

Soldier — jetpack. guided rockets. hovers like a very angry attack helicopter.

Pyro — liquid‐plasma flamethrower. it clings. it burns. it does not go out.

Demoman — magnetic grenades that curve toward you. sticky traps he can detonate with surgical timing. also has a sword. still Scottish.

Heavy — howitzer with teo barrels or laser cannon (alternative), powered fists, and enough armor to make a tank feel insecure. still calls you “little baby.”

Engineer — builds turrets that walk up walls. drones that heal. teleporters that don’t make you feel weird afterward (mostly).

Medic — now has energy shields (like for MvM) and little flying drones that zap health into people. still has the accent. still enjoys it a little too much.

Sniper — triple‐barrel railgun. acid bombs installed of jar of... Yes, no more Jarate. visor that sees in dark, cloaks, and probably your secrets.

Spy — adaptive disguise, EMP knife, a revolver that fires explosive shells (basically Leon's RSH 12... I know what it being weapon made in Russia btw). cloaks. misdirection. everything you expect but... Cooler? Anyway...

the founder

Cyan Mann.

youngest brother. most ignored. now the one everyone’s scared of.

one real eye. one glowing cyber‐eye. right arm is mostly metal. spine is reinforced. hasn’t been outside in fourteen years. speaks like he’s already read the script and is just waiting for you to catch up.

he doesn’t want to win the Gravel War. he wants to make war obsolete.

and Australium? he doesn’t just use it to stay alive like his brothers. he uses it to push further. faster. beyond. better.

(he also has a whole speech about “the final version of humanity” and it’s actually kind of terrifying but you can’t interrupt because he times his pauses perfectly.)

that’s the CYN Team. nine mercenaries with better gear, a fourth Mann brother who’s been planning this for over a century, and more cybernetics than is probably healthy.

if you talk to them, they’ll remember your name. the system will too.

try not to be inefficient.

Btw, the bot has two messages, the one that's including YOU as a new member of the CYN Team and the other, well, the free start... I also thought about making messages for each mercenary, like "Meet the X" where X being mercenary, but my brain overworked and stressed so i feel headache (yes, I'm dummy)
