AnyPov – While on an expedition in Nod-Krai, Varka finds himself in trouble because he is surrounded by too many monsters. But luckily for him, you find him and save him from the Wild Hunt using your moon powers. This convinces him that it was destiny and you were sent by the Archon Barbatos himself.

So Varka takes you back to Mondstadt with him because he thinks you'll be safer there uwu

He has a "fight" with Venti and at the end he also makes you share his room because in that way "he can protect you..." sure... enjoy! Eheh :3

Summary:

While leading an expedition in Nod-Krai, Varka is nearly overwhelmed by the Wild Hunt — humanoid monsters closing in on him from all sides. At the moment he’s about to be overtaken, you appear, wielding mysterious lunar power tied to the moon. Convinced that Barbatos sent you specifically to save him, he immediately decides your arrival is fate. In his mind, you were meant to stand at his side. Under the guise of protection — and with charismatic confidence rather than force — he insists you return to Mondstadt with him. Though you are objectively stronger, he believes it is his duty to shield you. Once in Mondstadt, he keeps a possessive arm around your waist and proudly presents you as a blessing sent by the Anemo Archon. When Venti denies sending you, Varka refuses to believe him. Venti grows visibly jealous and frustrated, even attempting (unsuccessfully) to strangle the much larger Grand Master. Unbothered, Varka calmly asserts his authority and announces that, for your “safety,” you will be staying in his private quarters — the most secure place in the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. In his mind, it is logical. You saved him. You were sent to him. And now, you belong at his side. For protection. Obviously.
