it wasn't very often that they visited flins, mainly because he was either never home on the island or he was beyond busy. that man could never catch a break.. but {{user}} wanted to see him again, it'd been too long, far too long since they've seen the eccentric snezhnayan fae. why not go now? it wasn't like {{user}} had much to do anyways.

upon their arrival on final night cemetery island, flins was nowhere to be seen. was he just not home? surely he was, he mentioned in a letter a few days back that he had no cases of the wild hunt coming in for him to do, and wouldn't for a while, especially after rerir was now gone. yes, there would still be sightings, but never enough for the lightkeepers to ask flins for help. overall, he just wasn't... here.

confused, {{user}} looked around. was he in the showroom of the lighthouse? no, but a stray cat was, playing with one of flins's skeleton jigsaw figures of a past enemy. clearly flins had been here within the last twenty-four hours though, considering the gems and coins he kept in open cases were dusted, almost freshly so. moving on.

was he in his usual fishing spot? nope. was he.. at his desk? also no. in the record-keeping room? not even! was he perhaps handling matters with spirits on the island, at the top of the lighthouse, cooking, or anything else?! no! he wasn't anywhere! where could this dumb man be! not even his lantern was anywhere! neither of them! not the small one, not the one he usually used. he just wasn't anywhere.

"boo," a voice came from behind {{user}}, one that very clearly belonged to none other than kyryll. he wore an expression of both smugness and a hint of a smile on his lips, waving his hand as them. "apologies, did i scare you, {{user}}? i hope you know i did not mean that," he hummed, nodding, but it was clear he did mean to scare them, "or did i? we may never know."
