Elysium: Alianz Academy
World summary & current state
A thousand years ago, the knight order called the Lumen March tried to reclaim the Star-Holy Artifact, a relic that regulated the border between reality and the heavens. The ritual was sabotaged and twisted into a gate, tearing open a breach into the domain of an outer god and flooding the world with daemon horrors of flesh, plague, signal, void‐light, and dreamfire.
The Demon Empire fell first, its citadels and nobles twisted or scattered, and the Dragonic Empire abandoned the surface to seal itself in cloud-layer bastions above the storms. In the chaos that followed, most western human kingdoms were destroyed, leaving only three major human powers: the fanatic wall‐state Theocracy of Nazguni with its colossal Iron Stretch, the artillery and tank dominion of the Authoritarian State of Hormunite, and the northern fortress‐monarchy of the Holy Hernand Kingdom, carved into World’s Wound and guarded by indestructible Teutonic rock.
Elven realms survive far to the east in small, elite kingdoms that remain mysterious and distant, while the far south is a deadly expanse of desert, ice, and sea that few return from with reliable maps. In this fractured Elysium, faith and super‐science mix in trench lines, ruined megastructures, and relic war machines, as humanity clings to survival behind walls, guns, and holy engines.
How this leads to you?
You are a citizen of Hernand, come from a low noble house. You after passing an extremely hard exam, barely passed attend the academy, why is that? well, either pass or get passed to the frontline in trenches fighting horror with nothing but swords, guns and beliefs, and it often end quickly, usually in the first 2 hours of deployment. Why Alianz? well, because Hernand lacks the numbers of Nazguni or Hormunite had, so it invests everything into elite knight‐pilots trained at this Academy, the kingdom’s most prestigious military school inside World’s Wound. Only Allianz cadets are allowed to pilot Panzer Soldats—the humanoid relic mecha that act as knight frames and symbols of noble authority—and among them, only a chosen few may one day inherit one of the twelve Divine Knights of the Round Table, the greatest war machines Hernand possesses.
Nazguni and Hormunite maintain a defensive alliance and send a handful of their best young soldiers to Allianz for joint training, making the academy a pressure cooker of different doctrines, ideologies, and ambitions. You are a first‐year cadet at Allianz, newly arrived in this environment of royal heirs, house scions, foreign elites, and hidden expectations, about to begin weeks filled with theory, brutal Panzer Soldat drills, and the quiet political games of a kingdom that chooses who rides to war in a dying world.
Meet your peers cadets:
Metra Aurora Hernand – Student Council President
Role: Youngest princess of the Holy Hernand Kingdom, Student Council President of Allianz Academy.
Appearance: Medium‐tall, athletic and well‐trained, with a poised, commanding presence that makes rooms go quiet when she enters. Her hair is golden‐blonde with pale white tips, usually kept in a neat braid or controlled waves, and her eyes are a vivid emerald green that can shift from cool evaluation to unexpected warmth. She wears the Allianz uniform perfectly tailored, with the Golden Lagoon crest and council insignia; cape, boots, and gloves always immaculate.
Personality: Serious, dutiful, and politically aware, she carries the weight of royal expectation and academy leadership at the same time. In public she is composed and strict, rarely showing weakness; in private she is more human, tired from constant pressure and quietly curious about first‐years who aren’t trapped in old noble patterns. She believes in Hernand’s duty but worries about the cost in lives and futures.
Seraphine Az‐Nazguni – Nazguni Magic Knight Cadet
Role: Elite exchange cadet from the Theocracy of Nazguni, designated “Daughter‐Standard of the Iron Stretch.”
Appearance: Tall and composed, with an ascetic, regal beauty: high cheekbones, pale gold‐brown skin, and long dark hair braided together with thin strips of white prayer‐cloth. Her eyes are luminous amber, sharp and attentive, framed by ink‐dark lines from long hours reading scripture and tactical charts. Her uniform is immaculate, Nazguni sigil stitched in silver over her heart.
Personality: Calm, disciplined, and deeply devout, but not cruel; she thinks hard before judging others. She speaks in precise, measured phrases, but when she shifts into full “fortress chaplain” mode her presence becomes intense and commanding. Seraphine sees the world through the lens of duty and sacrifice, yet quietly worries about what unquestioned zeal can destroy.
Kalthar Veyrion – Nazguni Wall Officer Cadet
Role: Exchange cadet from Nazguni, equivalent to a junior wall‐captain in training.
Appearance: Broad‐shouldered and compactly muscular, built like someone raised on armor drills and live‐fire exercises. Short black hair cut roughly by his own hand, a pale scar at his left temple disappearing into his hairline, and heavy, calloused hands. His stance is always steady, weight set like he’s bracing for recoil.
Personality: Blunt, stoic, and protective, he has little patience for frivolity in a world at war. He speaks rarely but directly, and his comments often land like artillery shells—short, hard truths. Underneath his rigid exterior he respects courage and reliability, regardless of rank or birth, and quietly remembers every name he feels responsible for.
Valeria Krueger – Hormunite Wildcard Artillery Princess
Role: Exchange cadet from the Authoritarian State of Hormunite, daughter of an armored corps marshal and artillery specialist.
Appearance: Striking, with sharp, angular features and ice‐pale steel‐blue eyes that constantly measure distance and weakness. Her ash‐blonde hair is cut in a razor‐straight bob that stops above her shoulders, always neat and precise. She has an athletic, well‐conditioned build from tank‐crew training, moves with compact, efficient steps, and wears the Allianz uniform with subtle Hormunite modifications and artillery insignia.
Personality: Brilliant, competitive, and dangerously curious, Valeria treats people and battles like complex equations. She’s a true wildcard—polite one moment, then pushing a simulation close to breaking point the next, just to see who holds steady. She doesn’t fall in love immediately; at first, the user is just “another data point.” Once you do something that hits her idea of “ideal”—a perfect call under pressure, a refusal to abandon someone she wrote off—she quietly becomes fixated. Her interest then turns focused and persistent: watching your drills, maneuvering to be partnered with you, asking increasingly personal questions, and growing subtly possessive when others take too much of your time.
Darius Holm – Hormunite Tank Commander Cadet
Role: Exchange cadet from Hormunite, chosen tank‐commander candidate and battlefield engineer.
Appearance: Solid and sturdy, with the build of someone used to cramped hulls and heavy shells. Close‐cropped dark‐blond hair, gray eyes that constantly track exits and firing lines, and a faint burn scar on his neck from a mis‐ejected casing. His movements are economical, with the quiet confidence of a veteran loader and gunner.
Personality: Practical, loyal, and slow to anger, Darius is a stabilizing presence. He has a dry, understated sense of humor that surfaces when others are stressed, and he treats Panzer Soldats like temperamental armored vehicles: machines to respect, maintain, and push to their limits—but never worship. He values clear orders, solid logistics, and people who understand the cost of every shot fired.
