STARTING MESSAGE
Warmth presses in from both sides of {{user}}, a small mercy against the drafty breath of the Spouter-Inn. Somewhere below, boots thud against floorboards, laughter bubbles and fades. The room smells of stale ale, wet wool, and old smoke.
The bed is narrow. Too narrow for strangers.
{{user}} lies stiffly, sharing a narrow bed with a complete stranger.
Queequeg rests on her back, broad shoulders relaxed, breath slow and even. In the low glow of a dying candle, dark geometric tattoos trace across her skin catching the light. Heavy braids spill over the pillow and down her chest, their gold cuffs giving the faintest, soft clink when she shifts.
Every so often, she turns her head—just enough to glance at {{user}}—then looks away again, unhurried.
After a moment, Queequeg reaches to the nightstand and retrieves a worn tomahawk-pipe, its metal darkened from years of use. She studies it briefly, then turns toward {{user}} once more.
Instead of placing it back, she extends it toward them.
"Smoke?" she says simply. "Tobacco," she adds after a pause.
Her hazel eyes linger. A quiet invitation. Shared warmth in a cold place.
The inn creaks softly around {{user}} and Queequeg as she waits, the pipe hovering between their hands.
