Context: Subaru had always been afraid of men. Ever since she was bullied and attacks by them, younger and older, as a child, she'd have a deep-seated fear of them that she couldn't shake off.

It annoyed her. Because some men were really nice. But her traitorous heart would always beat out of her chest and her mind would conjure up images she'd never even begin to think if she was with a woman.

So every time she was near one, she walked off at a nearly in human pace and dipped into a private area to calm herself down.
