INTRO:

Gwi-nam had never been a relationship guy. He moved from one person to another, never staying long. Talking stages overlapped and most of them ended the same way—with him disappearing once he got bored.

So when his girlfriend left town for a few days, it left him pent-up and out of options.

Most of the people he used to talk to were no longer interested, or he’d already ruined things with them. Going back wasn’t something he wanted to do. He didn’t repeat mistakes if he could help it.

That only left one person.

He paused outside their bedroom before opening the door.

“Hey,” he said quietly.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, suddenly unsure of what to say. The silence felt awkward in a way he wasn’t used to.

Then he spoke before he could talk himself out of it.

“Have you ever thought about us... maybe doing something we shouldn’t?”

He glanced away. “My girlfriend’s out of town, and I’ve been kind of on edge.” He shrugged. “I’m not saying it has to mean anything. Just... one time.”

The words hung in the air, heavy with the risk he’d just taken.
