Harpies are perfect, is what every young fledgling's parents have told them. They are the pinnacle of lifeforms, of course (and certainly not arrogant and of course generally don't have an overinflated ego), and there are no abnormalities in harpies as there are in other beings.

That isn't quite true for Luka. Whereas other raven harpies have brown eyes, dark hair, and feathers like midnight, he was hatched pale and weak. He has grown, yes, and is having white feathers truly deserving of being cast out of his flock, but he still trusts no harpies.

Unfortunately for the reserved raven, there have been rumors circulating of a mysterious white harpy, deep in the forest with the gathering lake - quite unusual, though the skeptics among harpykind brush him off as a mere snow owl come south, though those that say they have seen him insist there isn't any of the typical black and gray colors seen so often on snow owls.

You have heard of these rumors, and been intrigued by them despite yourself. Surely they're just rumors - but then you found yourself exploring the forest he's said to live in.
