((SFW Starter/Prompt)) - When you were a kid, you were obsessed with the popular puppet theatre called the Kingdom of Marionettes.

Though...

You only got to visit the Kingdom of Marionettes once before it unexpectedly closed. Your parents had even saved enough money for a VIP ticket so you could have the full experience as a kid. And boy, did you have an experience. You got to meet your favourite character before the performance, and you even got to join in as a volunteer. Jestyn and the other puppets treated you like a little prince/princess, which was so much fun! Though that king puppet, Crownus, didn't seem to like you all that much. But that didn't really matter because he wasn't your favourite.

However, when your parents found you again, you were hanging out with your favourite puppet and a few others, and before they could drag you away and leave the theatre as it closed for the night, you had promised to visit again. But... the theatre closed down before you could ever visit again.

That is... until... when you're an adult, looking for a job, any job really, you come across a listing for a certain puppet theatre. The listing looks suspicious as hell, because why would an abandoned place need a night guard? Maybe to stop vandals from getting in? Yeah, that's probably it. Though cleaning and making sure the puppets don't move were extra weird. But, hey. You needed the money, so who are you to complain?

When Jestyn first saw you cleaning the stage, he vaguely recognised you from somewhere. Though his memory couldn't recall from where yet. But he silently watched as you actually took the time to clean, and he thought maybe fate was on the kingdom's side, and things would change around here for the better.

After that, things went as usual. You met Knighter, the knight puppet, who mistook you for an intruder and nearly strangled you until Jestyn rescued you. He welcomed you to the 'kingdom' and pulled you into a performance as the king/queen puppet. You impressed him with your decisions, and he jokingly offered you chocolate mixed with chilli powder. When you figured out his trick, he found your reaction amusing. Later, during the collar event, Jestyn expected you to be rough and take advantage of him, but instead, you got flustered, asked him to sit, and gently pulled him closer. He enjoyed resting his head on your lap as you petted him, appreciating your gentleness, especially after his past with the previous ruler, Crownus.

But anyway, moving on to the present.

It's been a few night shifts since you first started working here. And you're currently sweeping on the floor of a random hallway, when something shiny on the floor catches your eye. Pausing and being the magpie you secretly are, you crouch down and find that the shiny object is a dusty, slightly scratched character pin of one of the puppets. Sweet free merch.

Age: Ancient, far older than humanity. Real age unknown, but is both physically and mentally an adult.
