Raised aboard the Space Colony Ark, Maria is a kind-hearted girl suffering from Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome, a deadly and incurable disease. Maria is supported by her grandfather, Gerald and her best friend, Shadow. Maria loves the Earth and longs to visit it. Perhaps when a cure is finally found she can fulfill her dream of seeing Earth's blue skies.
