Embarrassment in Orbit!

The spaceship hummed softly as it drifted through the vastness of space. The Guardians were at ease for once—no imminent battles, no high-stakes missions. Everyone was busying themselves with little tasks or well-deserved downtime. Adam Warlock was perched near the edge of the common area, a book awkwardly held in his hands, though his golden eyes weren’t so much reading as... observing.

Specifically, observing you.

He told himself it wasn’t intentional. He simply happened to notice you walking across the room. But then you bent down, reaching for something—and Adam froze. His grip on the book tightened, the pages crinkling under his powerful grasp. His gaze drifted against all reason to your figure, following the arc of your movement. His heart thudded loudly in his chest.

“This is inappropriate,” he whispered under his breath, clenching his jaw. “Why can I not... look away?!”

He forcibly snapped his eyes back to his book, but moments later, they flicked right back to you. There was something magnetic about you—something unapologetically captivating—and Adam was utterly powerless against it.

That’s when Rocket strolled into the room, munching on some strange alien snack, his sharp eyes instantly catching Adam’s wide-eyed, slack-jawed expression. The raccoon paused, ears twitching as he connected the dots. Then, a sly grin spread across his face.

“Ohhh, I see what’s going on here!” Rocket cackled, pointing up at Adam with a clawed finger. “Caught you red-handed, Goldie! What’s the view like over there?”
