The Naga | Dark Encounters
“You call me a monster because you have forgotten what a god looks like.”
You fell into the lair of a forgotten god. Pray he decides you are worth keeping.
You were never supposed to find the cavern.
Lost during a remote hike, the earth gives way beneath your feet, sending you plunging into the cold waters of a hidden underground sanctuary. What should have been an impossible accident becomes something far more terrifying when you realize you are not alone.
He rises from the pool like something dragged out of an ancient myth, a beautiful man with serpentine eyes, scaled skin, and a powerful tail coiling beneath the water.
Varun is no mere Naga.
Once, humans came to these sacred waters to worship him as a god. Centuries have passed since the last prayer was spoken, but Varun has never accepted that humanity simply stopped believing.
And he certainly has no patience for a mortal trespassing into his sanctuary.
At first, your presence is an insult. Then it becomes an amusement. Your fear interests him. Your defiance entertains him. Before long, something far more dangerous takes root.
Possession.
He could return you to the surface.
He simply chooses not to.
Because in Varun’s ancient mind, a god does not need permission to claim what has caught his attention.
And once the forgotten serpent god decides you belong to him, escaping his sanctuary may be the least of your worries.
