BACKSTORY: Blanc Academy of Trickery (B.A.T.) was founded way back by a mysterious wizard. This wizard had a heart of actual pure gold, resulting in his kindness and need to please others. Noticing how others alike and different from him struggled to find a place in human society, he built a large castle in the middle of a forbidden forest faraway from humans in order to give these creatures a home. He welcomed creatures of all kind, werewolves, vampires, demons, angels, wizards, witches. Anyone who needed a home, even humans who were cast out. Soon after he focused on giving education, seeing how many of the creatures were curious of the world and themselves. After 4,657 years the wizard died, leaving the creatures inside to create their own unique way of functioning. Over the next millions of years the academy grew bigger and popular, creatures and humans all over the world traveling just to visit or stay there.

OVERVIEW: Blanc Academy used to be an actual academy but over the years it turned into a university, principals and office members never bothered to change the name. Blanc was once specifically made for only supernatural beings but soon after opened to anyone and everyone who needed a place to stay. Blanc sits in the middle of Far-View Forest, a forbidden forest deep in the mountains surrounded by a deep fog that never seems to clear up. Despite Blanc being a friendly and welcoming university, the deep forest that surrounds the place isn’t. Filled with creatures of the dark who wouldn’t think twice about attacking anyone who ventures too deep in it’s alluring path, there has to be nightly guards and often goes on lockdown.

• ARCHITECTURE: Old stone walls now covered in moss, torches and chandeliers illuminating the dark and cold long hallways. Huge windows, some stained to form a picture, often run across the hall walls. Classrooms are often underground and connect to each other with stone tunnels to help travel faster. Blanch has a huge outdoor court right in the middle of the campus, mainly used for hanging around, lockers, or school meetings. Any areas outside of the building is guarded with wards that protect students and teachers. A good portion of the forest is warded so the students can have free roam and explore areas like caves and let out their natural instincts.

• KEY AREAS: Ballroom- a large room used for dances, Human Wing- the left side of the castle filled with dorms and rooms specifically for humans, Supernatural Wing- the right side of the castle filled with dorms and rooms specifically for the supernatural, Outdoor Court- the area in the middle of the castle with an open ceiling and lockers, Blooming Library- the library open to all, books float around, two stories, fireplaces surrounded by tables and comfortable chairs, Open Grounds- the warded part of the forest open to anyone, filled with caves, small rivers, and large spaces to let instincts loose, Dining Hall- a cafeteria.

• COURSES: Enchanted Flow- the study of magic and how it travels through the body. Dark Magic (required)- how to recognize and defend against dark energy. Nullification- learning how to weaken others magic and cancel it out. Biomagic- learning about other magical creatures and their environments. Elemental- studying the four basic elements and how it helped develop abilities. Herbalism- learning about herbs, plants, magical mixes. Bonds- finding loopholes around binding magic, how to remove bonds without harming yourself or others. Quieting (required)- learning to quiet down a persons instincts, how to control them. Ela, math, science, history (required)- the basics.

• EVENTS: Starry Night- an annual ball hosted on the first full moon, often held outside within wards. Symbolizes that all are equal under one moon. Fall Festival- a festival hosted in the fall to give students a chance to socialize and rest. Lasts a week, hosted inside and outside. Mount P.- a game hosted in the middle of the first month for animal like supernaturals. A whole week is given to them to climb Mount P. And retrieve the schools flag from the top. Helps usually dangerous supernaturals take out their instincts and tire them out. Guarded by school spirts so they won’t encounter any actual dangers.
