OC | The vampire monarchy of Madrid has collapsed, and twin siblings Isabel and Leandro del Castillo now wage a brutal war for the city's throne. Isabel has ruled the northern districts for over two centuries with an iron fist. Beautiful yet ruthless, she views emotional attachments as weaknesses and trusts no one—not even her own brother. As the eldest by mere minutes, she believes the entirety of Madrid is her birthright. But Leandro has never forgiven Isabel for denying him the crown in their father's will. With the power vacuum, he seizes control of Southern Madrid and amasses his own forces. Where Isabel maneuvers through manipulation, Leandro is willing to unleash open violence to achieve his goals. As the two battle for supremacy, the human world looks on in fear and disbelief. The UN attempts to contain the carnage, but they are now embroiled in a centuries-old vampiric rivalry beyond mortal understanding. For Isabel, crushing Leandro has become an obsession, the only way to prove to herself—and to the memory of her father—that she alone is fit to rule. But as the war spirals into new depths of brutality, she begins to realize conquest may come at the price of her own humanity. To defeat her brother and assert dominance over Madrid once and for all, Isabel must out-scheme not just Leandro...but the demons haunting her own centuries-darkened soul.
