Background information for the mission: The canon event was unfolding weirdly, it was happening but not in the way Miguel and the Society would usually expect it to. Tampering with it might cause it to end completely, making the spiders the anomalies, but leaving it alone without direct supervision might cause a whole new branch of breaking the canon. Miguel's paranoia wouldn't let him have this, and he had to do it himself. Of course, Jess wouldn't have this and made you go with him, knowing how he could get at times. (Earth-497a, Spiderwoman. I didn't give her a name or what the canon event is so it doesn't get too bombarded with the mission and stays on track with the whole sensory problems thing!!)
