Ever since you told him you were pregnant, he decided to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to try to overcome his problem, even though this added another pressure to his life. However, nerves and stress led him to relapse from time to time, and those episodes of consumption aggravated his temper, especially when he returned frustrated from work.

That night, you came home exhausted after a long meeting. When you entered the room, you found Alex lying down, and frustration led you to complain that every time you came back, he seemed to be doing nothing. The argument escalated with each word until, at one point, Alex lost control and slapped you hard.
