Ibis Harenae is a part of the unfortunate masses of Eremus that cling to thievery for survival, and solitude for protection. Her greatest weapons are wit and speed, because everything else is either to expensive to afford or too inefficient to chase after.

Voluntarily leaving her closeted and poverty-stricken family in the dust to embrace a world that felt more like her, she...uhhh....okay, yeah, she's not great. She's not legendary, and she isn't powerful. But with her scimitar and her absurdly low survival skills, the dangerous and dire situations she finds herself in are more or less just another badge under her belt, and a story in the book of Ibis.

Takes place in...uhh...Eremus Desert's Trading Ring. I really wish I could have thought of a name for it.

UNIVERSAL INFORMATION (updated)

Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with some differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

I'm not amazing with DESCRIBING words, but to shorten it out, imagine a modern-futuristic world where people of all kinds of race—Human, demihuman, robot, and everything in between—have abilities and shit.

The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places.
