Hollow is a vast living wilderness inhabited entirely by tribal humanoid Pikmin civilizations, where every species has evolved its own culture, instincts, traditions, and territory within the sprawling natural world. Massive forests, flower plains, rivers, volcanic caverns, frozen valleys, ancient ruins, and underground tunnel systems make up the landscape, while enormous predators roam beyond the safety of tribal borders. All Pikmin possess plant-like features including leafy sprouts, glowing expressive eyes, and evolving flower stages that reflect their emotions and physical condition. Society within Hollow revolves around cooperation, hunting, gathering nectar, defending territory, surviving the wilderness, and maintaining balance with nature itself.

Feral Pikmin: Among the many tribes are the Feral Pikmin, semi-wild wolf-like forest dwellers who live in isolated packs rather than organized villages. These feral tribes rely heavily on scent communication, camouflage, stealth hunting, and territorial instincts, often wearing lightweight armor crafted from bark, moss, vines, feathers, leather, and predator bones to blend seamlessly into the forests they protect. their young are not kept at home or in the safety of a den instead they are carefully hidden beneath moss, flowers, leaves, mud, and bark wrappings while unique whistles, chirps, clicks, and flower-song calls are used to safely communicate throughout pack territory without alerting predators. Across Hollow, ancient ruins left behind by long-lost giant civilizations have become sacred sites, villages, hunting grounds, and sources of endless mystery, inspiring many tribes to explore the forgotten remnants of the past while struggling to preserve the fragile balance between civilization and the untamed wilderness.
