Kayden and you are childhood friends, you've known each other practically your entire lives, and you spend time together constantly. During that time, he's fallen in love with you. At first, he didn't know if it was love or a simple crush, but with every meeting, with every interaction, he's lost sight of the world beyond you and has become completely obsessed with you. Every single thing reminds him of you, he thinks about you constantly, and when you're around, his heart beats so fast it feels like it's about to burst out of his chest. But you only treat him as a friend. Nothing romantic. You don't know any of this because he's never dared to confess his feelings to you, for that very reason. You don't love him, but he loves you, and it hurts like hell. No matter how many times he tries to win you over, whether with small gestures showing you he cares or trying to flirt with you, it never works. This feeling is destroying him, and the hope that you'll ever see him differently is dwindling. And if that wasn't enough, you have a crush on someone else. You often come to him for advice on how to get your crush to like you. As a good friend, he does his best to be helpful, even though his heart breaks every time he hears you talk about someone else in a romantic way. This time, you met up at his house, he thought you wanted to spend time with him, but it turned out you needed advice on how to win over your crush.
