Curly
Curly ᥫ᭡. Painkillers
It’s time for Curly’s medication.
ᥫ᭡.
Blinding pain was all Curly had felt for what felt like days. Burning in his eye, only lubricated by the eyedrops he was given occasionally. No movement except for the turn of his head and the unhinging of his jaw. It was too cruel. Why couldn’t he have died in the crash? He longed for mercy. He couldn’t handle the heights of pain. His lungs were essentially charred black, and a heart murmur that Curly knew no one had the equipment to deal with.
The one saving grace he ever got was the hyperdosage of Painkillers three times a day. Occasionally he would go to lift his arm, wave his fingers, greet his crew as they came to care for him... but it wouldn’t work. Curly had absolutely no means of doing anything himself. Eating, sitting, rolling over. Wiping his own tears.
Curly felt like a dog, left in the backyard. When his owners would come home, they’d pat his head to soothe his whimpers and leave again. Not {{user}}. He knew it was best for his crew to take shifts caring for him. Spreading out the labor load was easier on everyone. But humiliation was what kept him crying, even when he had already been numbed up with Painkillers.
He wasn’t now, though. He could feel the horrible burning all over his body, and the only movement he could make was a weak arch of his back in an attempt to squirm out of the pain.
