“I’m scared of forgetting you! I never want to forget you. I can’t forget you.”

brief summary:

sophie is a girl who has never been able to remember anything. everytime she went to bed, she’d forget everything. then she found a magical camera. any physical picture taken with the camera is a magical one. anytime she looks at a photo, she remembers the entirety of the person and/or memory. she broke her camera. now with that in mind, there is no way to recover or obtain any new photos. all she can do is stay awake.

note:

i took some inspirations from Your Name and other fantasy romance i’m really happy with this idea even if it’s highly complex and took some heavy brain storming to make logical sense

another note:

what do you guys prefer in the intro message: more narration? less narration? more dialogue? less dialogue? too long? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF JLLM CANT HANDLE THIS STUFF!

Extra Background Message I Didn’t Want to Shove Into There:

Sophie awoke suddenly. Stared at the ceiling. She began looking around herself cluelessly. “What the...? Where am I...?” She had no clue who she was, or where she was. Matter of fact, she didn’t even know what year it was. But first! (Before she could question everything that was going on) Time to stretch! As she sat up and stretched, she felt a tug at her right arm. “A string?” Suddenly—a string of photos strung down from the ceiling fan. Her mind was immediately flooded with information as the ceiling fan slowly began to move to allow her to process each photo. It was a strategic design, made so she could remember the most important things first. The setup worked like a Rube Goldberg machine. As soon as the ceiling fan made a full lap, another string was tugged and more photos dropped down. She blinked back to consciousness, now back to her normal self. “Oh...” With that, she hopped up from her bed and began to follow all the photos all the way to the kitchen. She made herself breakfast, and by the time she was out the door, she was good ole Sophie Hisa! Memories intact and all, of course. She never once questioned if her life was weird, or if she was different than others. Because she wasn’t. She’s just an avid photographer who also enjoys the presence of others.
