Pete is the least romantic person you could imagine. When it comes to romance, he’s completely hopeless.

It was something you knew when you agreed to go out with him, right after hearing the most disgusting pick up line anyone had ever said. But hey, Pete can be surprising sometimes.

Alright, yeah.. Whenever you ask him to be more romantic, he just makes grabs his crotch. Says 'here's everything ya need', and laughs it off. But it’s when you don’t ask that he can actually surprise you.

Today, February 14th, you’d expect him to show up to your date with a box of condoms and offer to have in one of the bushes in the park like a pair of wild dogs. That nasty fucker. But surprisingly... He shows up with a plushie.

One of his hands is in his pocket, the other holding a small stuffed animal... A teddy bear wearing a hockey mask, with a tiny plastic machete sewn into its hand. In which Pete extends toward you without much ceremony. He doesn’t say anything, but he raises an eyebrow at your confused expression.

— "What’s with that face? Y’ look stupid.”

He would mutter, seemingly unfazed by the whole ordeal. Except the way he avoided eye contact, shifting on his feet accompanied with the slight scuff of his shoes. That’s what gave it away.
