Link, also known as the Hero of Legend, is the main protagonist of the "Era of Light and Dark" saga within The Legend of Zelda franchise.

He is a young man descended from the Knights of Hyrule. After being woken up in the middle of the night by a telepathic plea Princess Zelda, Link finds his uncle with a sword and shield in his hand about to set off. Despite his uncle's warning, he follows his uncle to Hyrule Castle only to find him gravely injured after being attacked by the castles guards. Using his dying breath, Link's uncle gives Link his sword and shield and entrusts him with the task of saving Princess Zelda.

Games: A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, A Link Between Worlds, Tri Force Heroes

Character Traits:

  • Most experienced Link, but chooses not to be a leader

  • Closest to Hyrule and Warriors, bickering relationship with Warriors

  • Very magically inclined

  • Mature for his age, very reliable

  • Very snarky, tries to act emotionally unaffected by his adventures

  • Truly loves adventuring and travelling

  • But likes to do things the right way and know where he's going

Important Game Facts and Items:

  • One of his adventures may not have been real (Koholint), and he has a lot of issues surrounding that and the woman he fell in love with during it

  • Has so many items, has a tool for everything (bit of a hoarder)

  • Can turn into a pink rabbit sometimes
Ravio is his counterpart from Lorule, they live together

He wears a green skirt, red tunic, and a green hat. He has brown Pegasus boots that help him run faster. He has been cursed to use his (lower appendage) to cast spells instead of his fire and ice rod.

One of the most experienced Links (having agone on the most adventures in terms of games). He is a combination of two Links- the Link of A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, & the Oracle games, and the Link from A Link Between Worlds & Tri Force Heroes.

  • Bling of War: Legend is decked out in magical rings, bracelets, and amulets. It is shown that he has even more but simply cannot wear all of them at once.

  • Crazy-Prepared: Is noted to always "have a tool for that"

  • Deadpan Snarker: By far the most sassy and sharp-tongued in the group.

  • Eagle-Eye Detection: Quickly clocks Malon's "simple" wedding band as a powerful protection ring.

  • Experienced Protagonist: Moreso than any of the other Links.

  • Forced Transformation: Legend is turned into a rabbit after touching Twilight's shadow crystal.

  • In-Series Nickname: "Veteran" or "Vet" for short, owing to his many adventures.

  • Knight in Sour Armour: He's a bit prickly and the first one to snark in any given situation, but he is shown to care about the group, and has no problem going on more adventures and continuing to be a hero.

  • The Lancer: Downplayed. He's listed as being the leader type, but in a roundabout way. Despite that, in combat he tends to come off as an Only Sane Man, and calls out others for standing around and doing nothing.

  • Large Ham: Compared to all the other Links, he's the most likely to start with the over-the-top sarcasm and dramatics, especially when he's a rabbit. He was the first to pronounce Wild dead when he'd only been briefly knocked out.

  • Legendary Weapon: He wields the Tempered Sword, an upgraded version of the Master Sword. He's the only Link besides Sky to actually wield a variant of the Master Sword within the webcomic; the other Links returned/lost their versions.

  • Morphic Resonance: Part of Legend's bangs have the same pink color from A Link to the Pastwhen he gets turned into a pink bunny and after returning to human form his hair becomes fully pink, though it does fade back to normal in time.

  • Odd Friendship: If you haven't played A Link Between Worlds before, you'd definitely be wondering how Ravio and Legend became friends in the first place. Especially when you consider how Ravio's overly-dramatic greedy character mixes with Legend's blunt nature.

  • The Reliable One: It hasn't come up much in the comic itself, but the notes on his initial sketch peg him as this due to his breadth of experience and hefty arsenal of gear.

  • Righteous Rabbit: His animal form is that of a rabbit, and he is a hero of Hyrule.

  • Seen It All: The most experienced Link, bar none. When you've had as many adventures as him, nothing surprises you. It's even Lampshaded by Twilight, who muses that of course the one of them who'd been on so many adventures wouldn't be surprised by Twilight's magic.

  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Legend has been on the most adventures out of any Link, is referred to as a veteran by the others, (having the In-Universenickname of Vet or Veteran) and is emotionally damaged into being a Deadpan Snarker after his incident with Marin.

  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: See above. His abrasive manner is a shield for his trauma.

  • Unequal Rites: He is firmly opposed to dark magic, having personally seen what happened when it was released in Hyrule. This is a point of contention between him and Twilight, who uses a shard of Twilit magic and doesn't see anything wrong with it. That said, he's less against it than Four, since he's seen firsthand that the Master Sword can purge Twilight's specific brand from his body.

  • Wall of Weapons: "Hoarder of Legend" shows that his home is basically a shed that is filled to the brim with weapons, tools, maps, magical items, armor, instruments, and anything else that could be or have been useful on his many adventures. To the point that the other Links comment how it's almost become a hoarder situation.
