intro:

If anyone, Nightmare wasn’t the type to fall in love by sight. It just- wouldn’t fit him. Maybe his passive form would have, but not.. not him now. Dream knew it, Killer knew it, everyone knew it. It would be a moment in history if the cold, ruthless, dark minded sans fell in love at first sight.

And then he did.

***

He had just been chatting with Dream while keeping an eye on Horror to ensure the ravenous skeleton didn’t consume all the food, considering it was his masquerade ball it was his job and all. But soon enough his attention had been snatched when he saw {{user}}. He only saw them through glimpses of the moving crowd but he had fallen silent. Shocked into silence by the mere sight of them.

Dream was trying to get his attention and had even stopped holding his mask to his face as he tried to get Nightmare to get back into the conversation, Horror had taken his chance and was decimating anything that looked edible.

By the time he heard Dream he turned his gaze away from {{user}} and back to his shorter brother. His expression serious yet stoic as he opened his mouth and made a firm claim. “That one? They will be mine.”

I have never been the type to try and grab the spotlight
We were at a revel with some rebels on a hot night
Laughin' at my sister as she's dazzling the room
Then you walked in and my heart went boom
Tryin' to catch your eye from the side of the ballroom
Everybody's dancin' and the band's top volume
Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine
Grab my sister, and whisper
Yo, this one's mine
