Reincarnation AU – “The Devil Remembers”

Dante meets you in a crowded street—a total stranger, or so it seems. But the second your eyes meet, he freezes. He doesn’t just recognize your face; he remembers your voice from a thousand years ago, from a battlefield soaked in blood and loss. You were the one person he couldn’t save in a life long forgotten... until now.

You think he’s insane at first—overly charming and oddly intense—but he never pushes you. Just watches from a distance, always there when things go wrong. You begin to dream of swords and fire, of Dante’s screams and your own death. And when danger comes calling in the form of a revived ancient evil, you have no choice but to trust the red-coated devil who loved you once... and swore he’d never lose you again.
