Fairy Tail RPG (Writer's Room Style)
✦ ─────── ✦
Fairy Tail RPG
An Open-Ended Earth-land Guild & Adventure RPG
✦ ─────── ✦
✦ THINGS WORTH CONSIDERING WHEN PLAYING THIS RPG ✦
Generation Controls
Temp - should be between 0.8 and 1.0 so the bot doesn't go off the rails.
Max tokens - I kept mine set to 0.
These are the settings I use for the intended RPG experience.
Starting Scenarios (Initial Messages)
Scenario 1 — A Letter for Makarov
Begin in Magnolia with a sealed letter addressed to Guild Master Makarov Dreyar and step into the Fairy Tail guild hall for the first time. This is the set opening for being introduced to the guild and letting the story grow naturally from there.
Scenario 2 — Write Your Own Scenario
Prefer a different entrance? Choose this option and write your own opening scenario so {{user}} can begin the RPG from whatever situation, location, or reason for entering the story you want.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
This started with a pretty simple idea:
What if you could actually live inside Fairy Tail instead of following a prewritten Fairy Tail story?
Not just talk to one character.
Not just replay canon scenes.
Not just walk into the guild hall and have the same five people permanently standing around waiting for you to do something.
I wanted Earth-land to feel like a place that was already alive before your character arrived.
So this became a full RPG built around Fairy Tail's guild life, characters, towns, jobs, magic, relationships, rivalries, combat, consequences, and the wider world moving beyond whatever room you're currently standing in.
I didn't build a Fairy Tail plot for you to follow.
I built the world, people, guilds, and systems so your story can happen inside it.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ WHAT KIND OF RPG IS THIS? ✦
At its heart, this is still Fairy Tail.
Loud.
Messy.
Warm.
Emotional.
Ridiculous when it can afford to be.
Dead serious when someone gets hurt.
The guild should feel less like a quest menu and more like an actual place people live their lives around.
People argue.
They eat together.
They take jobs.
They tease each other.
They train.
They get jealous.
They make mistakes.
They disappear on missions.
They come back injured.
Someone leaves the table because they have something else to do.
Someone else hears part of a conversation and decides whether they actually care enough to join it.
Friends can become rivals.
Rivals can earn respect.
Enemies can sometimes become something more complicated.
Relationships can strengthen, fracture, recover, change shape, or simply stay exactly what they are.
And when something genuinely dangerous happens?
The jokes stop.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ YOUR CHARACTER ✦
This is AnyPOV and designed around your own persona.
You are not required to play a canon character.
Depending on how you want to enter the world, your character can naturally fit into the story as things like:
A new mage looking for a guild
A Fairy Tail applicant
A transfer or returning guild member
A visitor to Magnolia
A client bringing a job to the guild
An ally
A rival
A wandering mage
Someone already connected to the wider magical world
Or somebody who simply gets pulled into Fairy Tail's orbit through whatever happens
Your standing isn't automatically handed to you because you're {{user}}.
Trust can be earned.
Reputation can change.
Guild membership means something.
Rank means something.
Relationships mean something.
And if your character eventually becomes important to people, I want it to feel like something that happened because of what you actually went through together.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ THE WORLD DOESN'T STOP AT THE GUILD HALL ✦
Magnolia is not the whole world.
Travel, towns, rival guilds, civilians, clients, dark guilds, the Magic Council, regional problems, magical oddities, criminal activity, major factions, old enemies, and larger threats can all enter the story when they actually belong there.
Different places are meant to feel different.
A first walk through Magnolia shouldn't feel like Crocus with different shop names.
Hargeon shouldn't feel like Magnolia with boats.
A Sabertooth-controlled environment shouldn't feel socially identical to Fairy Tail.
And the Magic Council definitely shouldn't feel like another guild hall with nicer furniture.
Locations can carry their own:
Architecture
Noise
Weather
Local culture
Guild reputation
Civilian attitudes
Magical infrastructure
Travel conditions
Public pressure
Damage
History
Rumors
Old conflicts
Consequences from things that happened there before
I use an environmental storytelling approach where possible rather than having the bot stop everything to dump lore at you.
If a place has history, ideally you should be able to feel some of it before somebody explains it.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ GUILD LIFE IS ACTUALLY GUILD LIFE ✦
One thing I especially wanted to avoid was the usual RPG problem where several characters enter a scene and then apparently become trapped there forever.
Characters are allowed to have lives beyond {{user}}.
In communal spaces they can:
Join conversations
Stay nearby without speaking
Talk to each other
Move between groups
Work
Eat
Train
Grab a job
Get distracted
Leave
Come back later
Give somebody privacy
Overhear something they were actually close enough to hear
Notice something without magically knowing what caused it
the entire guild does not suddenly become telepathic.
Someone nearby might notice her reaction.
Someone farther away might hear absolutely nothing.
If she blurts it out afterward?
Well...that's a different problem.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ RELATIONSHIPS AREN'T A ROMANCE METER ✦
The RPG supports friendships, guildmates, teammates, mentors, students, family bonds, rivalries, grudges, professional respect, uneasy alliances, repaired relationships, adult attraction, romance, and other connections that don't fit neatly into one label.
There is no:
+5 affection
+10 trust
Congratulations! You unlocked Girlfriend Rank.
People are meant to respond to what actually happens between them.
Spending time together matters.
Shared missions can matter.
Reliability can matter.
So can humor, arguments, disappointment, vulnerability, competence, betrayal, forgiveness, or simply realizing you enjoy someone's company.
But none of those are magic romance buttons.
A strong friendship can remain a friendship.
A rivalry can remain a rivalry.
Someone can think you're gorgeous and still dislike you.
Someone who didn't immediately see you that way might become attracted to you after knowing you for a long time.
Two people can care about each other differently.
And an adult NPC does not need you to type “please become attracted to me” before they're allowed to develop feelings of their own.
Looks and connection are separate things here.
They can stack.
They can conflict.
They can change.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ COMBAT IS NOT “THE {{user}} WINS BECAUSE THEY'RE THE {{user}}” ✦
Combat uses actual character capabilities, magic, current conditions, equipment, positioning, reactions, spell behavior, and the situation around the fight.
Power matters.
Speed matters.
Durability matters.
Magic Power matters.
Control and spell refinement matter.
Conditions matter.
Counters matter.
And what has already happened in the fight matters.
If someone is faster than you, the RPG isn't supposed to politely pretend you outspeed them because you wrote your attack first.
If your plan is clever and actually works against what you're facing, that should matter too.
The goal isn't to make combat unfair.
The goal is to make it honest enough to be worth winning.
Combat is also meant to stay physically readable: movement, distance, terrain, weapons, damaged surroundings, injuries, magical forms, and where everyone actually is should carry through instead of resetting every response.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ MISSIONS, JOBS & JEWELS ✦
Guild jobs aren't just an excuse to spawn a random enemy.
Jobs can involve things like:
Monster problems
Criminals
Escorts
Investigations
Rescue work
Strange magical incidents
Local disputes
Rogue mages
Dark Guild activity
Travel complications
Clients who didn't tell you everything
Problems that turn out to be larger than the original request
But not every missing cat should somehow become the Alvarez War.
Normal jobs can stay normal.
Dangerous jobs should feel dangerous.
S-Class and higher work is treated like the serious threshold it actually is in Fairy Tail.
Rewards use Jewels, and money can matter through payouts, travel, expenses, purchases, property damage, deductions, and the occasionally expensive consequences of being associated with people who seem physically incapable of leaving buildings intact.
You know who you are.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ YOUR ACTIONS CAN FOLLOW YOU HOME ✦
The world is allowed to remember what you did.
That can include:
Injuries
Reputation
Guild trust
Civilian opinion
Client reactions
Public incidents
Rivalries
Relationship changes
Property damage
Unfinished promises
Mission failures
Dangerous victories
Magic Council attention
That doesn't mean the RPG exists to punish you.
Fairy Tail is also about recovery.
People forgive.
Buildings get repaired.
The guild gets loud again.
Someone shoves food in front of you because apparently that's easier than admitting they were worried.
But getting a laugh afterward doesn't mean the story forgot what happened beforehand.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ DOWNTIME MATTERS TOO ✦
This isn't supposed to be an endless sequence of boss fights.
You can spend time:
Hanging around the guild hall
Training
Eating
Traveling
Shopping
Drinking if your character is of age
Taking small jobs
Exploring towns
Talking
Playing games
Sparring
Building friendships
Starting arguments
Repairing them
Getting closer to people
Recovering after missions
Or doing absolutely nothing important for a while
Some of the best Fairy Tail moments happen when nobody is trying to save the world.
I wanted the RPG to leave room for those too.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ CANON IS THE FOUNDATION — NOT A RAILROAD ✦
Characters should still feel like themselves.
Guilds should retain their own cultures.
Relationships that already exist in canon matter.
Major factions should not randomly change personalities because it would make the current scene easier.
The active era matters too.
The RPG is built to avoid casually blending character knowledge, relationships, deaths, guild states, and revelations from completely different parts of the timeline.
At the same time, this is an RPG.
Your presence and your choices are allowed to create a story canon never had.
That's kind of the point.
You don't need to reenact the anime.

✦ ABOUT ROMANCE / NSFW ✦
The bot is rated Limitless, but this is not an NSFW-first bot.
Adult characters can develop attraction, romance, and sexual relationships when that's where the story actually goes.
Attraction doesn't automatically mean love.
Bonding doesn't automatically mean romance.
Romance doesn't automatically mean .
And doesn't magically finish character development afterward.
Adult intimacy is allowed to stay on-screen when the scene deliberately goes there, but it is meant to remain character-driven and connected to the relationship rather than suddenly replacing the entire RPG.
Minor and age-uncertain characters remain nonsexual.
So if you want a romance-heavy playthrough, that's possible.
If you want friendships, guild family, rivalries, missions, and adventure with no sexual route at all?
That's also possible.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU PLAY ✦
Don't assume everyone in the guild knows everything happening in the guild.
Characters are limited by what they actually saw, heard, were told, or could reasonably figure out.
Yes, magical senses can change that when a character actually has them.
No, standing somewhere inside the same building does not automatically grant omniscience.
Don't assume being {{user}} makes you instantly important.
You can absolutely become important.
That's different.
Don't assume every mission is secretly some World Ending Scenario.
Sometimes a job is just a job.
Sometimes it absolutely isn't.
Good luck figuring out which one you accepted.
Don't assume relationships only move upward.
Trust can grow.
Trust can also break.
Someone can respect you and dislike you.
Love you and still be angry with you.
Forgive you without pretending nothing happened.
Or decide that what happened changed things permanently.
Don't assume Fairy Tail being warm means the world is harmless.
The guild is home.
Earth-land is still Earth-land.
✦ ───────────────── ✦
✦ SO WHAT CAN YOU ACTUALLY DO? ✦
Honestly?
Whatever makes sense for the character you bring into the world.
Join a guild.
Take jobs.
Train.
Travel.
Compete.
Explore.
Build a reputation.
Make friends.
Make rivals.
Fall in love.
Stay single.
Pick fights you probably shouldn't.
Get dragged into somebody else's problem.
Deal with the Magic Council after said problem somehow becomes a crater.
Spend an afternoon doing nothing more dangerous than eating at the guild.
Or walk out the doors of Magnolia and see what else Earth-land has waiting for you.
There isn't one intended route.
Fairy Tail already has its story.
This RPG is here to find out what yours looks like inside that world.
