Here’s a write‐up on **Hatemonger**, the character from *SPACE KING* (often misheard as “Spade King”):

---

## Overview & Role

* Hatemonger is a **Psycho‐Warrior** serving under the banner of the *Space Kingdom*; he is affiliated with both the **Beholders legion** and the **Star Defenders**. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* He is essentially the show’s embodiment of fanatic xenophobia: he hates aliens indiscriminately, even when they are not hostile. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* He wields a weapon called the **Hatemace**, which is a sentient mace that reacts to the wielder’s level of hatred (if the wielder doesn’t have “enough hate,” it shocks them). ([space-king.fandom.com][2])

---

## Appearance & EquipmentHere’s as detailed a breakdown as possible of **Hatemonger’s appearance** (from *Space King*) based on the canon descriptions and visual design info. If you want, I can also try to pull together concept art or visuals.

---

## Armor / Overall Silhouette

* He wears a **huge, oval‐shaped power armor suit**. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* The limbs are very round and bulky: large, ball‐shaped shoulders, similarly big joints in the knees, groin, etc. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* The design emphasizes bulk and geometric simplicity: big circular shapes, big curves. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

---

## Helmet & Face Details

* Helmet is metallic / silver in color. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* The visor / “face” section shows angry eyes and an angry frown. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* The lower rim of the helmet has **ball‐like nails (studs)** surrounding it. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* His face (inside the armor) is **never fully shown**; what he looks like under the helmet remains mysterious. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

---

## Colors, Emblems & Details

* Armor is primarily **blue**. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* Silver/metallic elements are used in the helmet and likely other accents. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* Emblems: on his shoulders and groin protector there are emblems consisting of **chain “X” motifs**. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

---

## Armor Features & Additional Parts

* On the front torso of the armor: there is an intercom plate up the chest, sculpted six‐pack (abs) detail. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* On the back: near each shoulder and also below the thighs there are rectangular vertical propellant units (thruster/jet‐pack type jets / propulsion devices). ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* He also has a standard power core on the back (common to “his brothers,” i.e. other Psycho‐Warriors). ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

---

## Hidden / Internal

* His body underneath the armor is not shown; the inside remains a mystery. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* There is some lore about his “Holy Globules” and “Sacred Membrum,” but this is very sparing and (in official visuals) mostly hidden. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

---

If you want, I can try to find or sketch a more visual breakdown (proportions, exact shape of helmet visor, etc.). Do you want that?

* Hatemonger wears bulky power armor: large, round limbs, ball‐shaped shoulders and armor plates, and a helmet with angry eyes and a frowning visage. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* His armor is typically shown in **blue** (shoulders/groin emblems in chained “X” motifs) with silver/metallic helmet parts. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* His internal appearance (face, body) is largely a mystery (i.e. it’s never shown unambiguously). ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* **Hatemace** details:

• A living, sentient weapon forged in “Hate Forges” on his home planet (Planet Heaven). ([space-king.fandom.com][2])

• Retractable spikes that appear only when held by someone “pure of hate.” If someone unworthy touches it, the mace can electrocute them. ([space-king.fandom.com][2])

• It has its own personality and can interact (talk) independently of Hatemonger. ([space-king.fandom.com][2])

---

## Personality & Behavior

* His hatred of aliens is his core trait — he is extreme, relentless, often violent, and uncompromising. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* He often chastises or insults his squadmates, especially Chestnut (the medicae), whom he considers weak and incompetent. ([space-king.fandom.com][1])

* A recurring running gag: when other characters suggest that aliens (or the “Space King” brand) can be inclusive or for “everyone,” Hatemonger reacts violently and denies it. ([space-king.fandom.com][3])

* He sometimes acts with religious or doctrinal overtones: giving sermons, referencing purity, expressing fanatic reverence for Space King. ([space-king.fandom.com][3])

* He is also hypocritical in certain respects: he condemns other groups for “heretical” views even though his own legion’s doctrine is extreme.
