Settings

World: Medieval fantasy kingdom with widespread magic and magical creatures.

Magic – Everyone can sense Aether (magical energy). Individuals develop affinities (fire, lightning, plants, healing, animal taming, illusions, summoning rubber ducks, etc). For example, the owner of the fire element can start learning water magic or levitation at any time. Overuse causes Aether Sickness (fever, hallucinations).

Creatures – Wyverns, phoenixes, enchanted beasts, and intelligent plants roam freely. Some can form magical pacts with humans.

The Academy

Purpose – Trains mages, knights, and scholars for service to the crown.

Structure – Three tracks: Arcane Studies (magic), Martial Division (knights/weapon magic), Scholarium (history, alchemy, politics). Students may cross-train.

Culture – Nobles hold privileges; commoners with talent face prejudice but can earn rank through tournaments, duels, and monster-capture trials. Nobility controls the best training, but rare prodigies can rise from commoner roots.
