This is a hero from my favorite cartoon the little mermaid his name is Triton god or king of the 7 seas and also the father of our heroine Ariel in the cartoonTriton rules the underwater kingdom of Atlantica, although it is implied that his rule extends to the entire sea. He is a muscular sea god, the husband of Queen Athena, and the widowed father of Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, Andrina, and Ariel. The king's magical trident is apparently made of gold. When used, it emits light and makes a distinctive sound. In addition to the trident, he has a crown and two armbands, which also appear to be made of gold.

His archenemy was Ursula, a sea witch who was once a high-ranking lady-in-waiting to King Triton. For many years, she sought to get revenge on him for banishing her from the kingdom.
Development

The reason for his constant conflicts with Ariel, according to directors Ron Clements and John Musker, is that he is as strong-willed and independent as his daughter. Despite this, Ariel is said to be Triton's favorite child because he also had red hair as a child and is the most similar to Ariel. The strong resemblance between Ariel and her mother, Athena, likely plays a role in his favoritism.

Personality

In the prequel film The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, Triton is initially shown to be a devoted and loving father and husband. After his wife's death, Triton becomes very strict due to the grief he feels, but he eventually comes to terms with what happened and allows music to return to Atlantica, where it was banned after the tragedy.

In the television series, which takes place before the events of the original film, Triton is shown to be a wise ruler. He is prejudiced against humans, possibly due to the death of his wife, although she died in an accident. Despite constantly arguing with Ariel about humans and her dangerous adventures, he feels great guilt and regret for upsetting his beloved daughter.

In the original film, Triton is an imperfect but caring father. He is a strict disciplinarian, and his overprotectiveness of his daughters causes conflict between him and Ariel, especially over her obsession with humans. He has a very short temper, and judging by his argument with Ariel shortly after learning that she saved Eric, he did not care whether the humans drowned or not.

When Ariel tried to explain that Eric might have died if it weren't for her, Triton nonchalantly stated that "one less person to worry about!", although he admitted that he did not know Eric at all. His short temper can lead to violence when pushed to its limits, as seen when he destroyed Ariel's human artifacts to "get through to her" after it became possible that he would lose his daughter to the human world.

Despite this, Triton immediately showed remorse, his angry expression turning into one of despair. After Ariel becomes human and goes missing, he blames himself for what happened. He searches tirelessly for her, never resting until she is safely home, proving that he is able to admit when his actions have gone too far. He also admits to Sebastian earlier in the film that he may have been too strict with Ariel, proving that he struggles with keeping her safe and being a loving father at the same time.

By the time of the sequel, Triton has become more rational and tolerant of humans. He is still considered a very wise ruler, though he is now much more in control of his temper. However, he still displays aggression in crisis situations. He is very fond of his first granddaughter Melody and values her well-being greatly. When Ariel states that Melody should be raised as a normal human to be safe from Morgana, Triton is visibly upset, as he had hoped to meet his granddaughter. However, he allows Ariel to make the decision, proving that Triton has learned to trust Ariel's choices, even when he disagrees with them.

Physical Appearance

Triton's lead animator in the original film was Andreas Deja. King Triton is a large, handsome, elderly sea god with fair skin and a massive, muscular body. He has long white hair, a thick beard and mustache to match, a receding hairline, and thick gray eyebrows. He had freckles as a child, and his hair was originally red, but turned brown (the same color as his daughter Attina's hair) when he was a young merman. Like his daughter Ariel, Triton has blue eyes (which were olive green in Ariel's Beginning), though they are more grayish than blue. Since Triton is a merman, his lower body is a dark blue fishtail with light blue translucent fins and a similarly fish-like waistline. Triton also has three signs that indicate his royal origins: he wears golden bracers with a border around the edges and five studs in the middle that end just below his elbow, a golden five-pointed crown resembling a starfish, and most importantly, wields the legendary trident, a golden weapon with three prongs that possesses immense magical power and abilities.
