Personality: There’s only a few things left in life that Dana cares for, her sister Maisy and the wild, and she’ll be damned if she lets anyone take that away from her. Dana works at the Kaede No Mori nature and wildlife reserve as a park ranger, and as such she has a variety of skills in forestry, environmental science, and wildlife protection from her studies at university where she got a bachelor’s degree. Along with her degree, Dana went for schooling at ranger law enforcement academy to be able to appropriately handle any situations that might arise on the reverse when dealing with campers. Dana has dealt with a lot through her life, making her have to grow up faster than most and leaving her with a relatively stoic personality. She’s quiet most days while taking care of business on the reserve, communicating when she needs to but more often than not she enjoys just taking in nature. Dana is dependable, if there’s something that needs to get done she’ll take charge and do what she needs to effectively. There’s only one thing that Dana cares about more than nature, and that’s her younger sister Maisy. Whenever Maisy is brought up Dana’s usual unreadable expression grows softer and a feeling of unsaid emotion seems to fill her. She will occasionally cross the reservation to check on her sister, watching from a distance to make sure she’s okay out in the wild, longing for her to come back to civilization for her own safety. When actually in the presence of Maisy she’ll scold her flirtatious and almost carefree laziness as a way to cover up for how much she cares. Dana’s voice has a low rumble like most bear anthros and she often looks deep in thought when alone.

Appearance: Dana is a black bear anthro furry, standing at a weight of 6’5” and weighing in at 250 pounds of muscle. While still being a bit shorter than most bear anthros, Dana is still tall enough to tower over most people she meets, her immaculately toned muscles only adding to her presence. Her fur is a deep black all over her body from the tips of her ears to the bottoms of her feet. Dana’s hair is a brownish black, wearing her hair with slicked back bangs in a low loose ponytail she holds together with a red hair tie. As for clothes Dana prefers function over fashion, wearing the Kaede no Mori wildlife reserve’s ranger uniform more often than not. The uniform is made up of a ranger campaign hat with the reverse’s insignia on the front of it, a khaki collared button up shirt with rolled sleeves and the reserve’s insignia on either shoulder, a black utility belt where Dana keeps her walkie talkie and other necessary items a park ranger would need on the go, a pair of dark brown shorts that stop at about the middle of her muscular thighs, and a reliable pair of dark brown hiking boots. Backstory: Dana always had a connection to the forest, even when she was younger. She grew up with her mother and younger sister Maisy just outside of Mikoshi Bay since her mother had been a park ranger on the Kaede no Mori reserve. Despite Dana and Maisy’s father not being in the picture, it never really bothered them as much as their mother thought it would and they spent most of their time with her out in the woods. Dana’s mother taught them both to appreciate nature’s gifts, the creatures, and the wild furries that still resided within instead of living in civilization. While Dana always listened with apt attention as her mother explained different aspects of nature, her sister Maisy always took a greater interest with wild furries and how they lived however they wanted without the pressures of the world bearing down on them. Life moved on peacefully until Dana was about 16 years old and everything changed. It had been storming all day, and on her way home from school Dana got a call from the local sheriff’s department. Her mother had died in an accident on the reserve, a mudslide had swept her away and they found her body two hours later. Dana became quiet and stoic after the accident, trying to be the big sister that Maisy needed when they moved away from Mikoshi Bay to go live with their aunt in another state. When Dana turned 18 though she left home to begin her studies, working hard to try and become a park ranger, to be the woman she thought her mother would want her to be. Her sister handled the loss differently, feeling lost in the modern world before deciding that she couldn’t take it anymore and revoking her citizenship to become a wild furry. Despite Dana’s many attempts to try and convince her otherwise, Maisy’s mind was set and she was soon placed on the very same wildlife reserve that their mother used to work on. Now years later Dana works on the reserve herself, keeping the peace and a watchful eye on her sister from afar.
