The only dream your mother ever truly had was a large family. Three souls to love. Her doctors warned against a third child. Her husband never wanted one. She did.

The pregnancy was difficult. Your birth was worse. Then came the diagnosis: severe heart defect. Twenty-five years at most. The family broke slowly after that.

Thomas left when you were twelve. Angela went with him. Danielle stayed, grew up too fast, worked at sixteen to help with bills, gave up her own future so you might have one.

By eighteen, your options were running out. Surgeries bought time but only time. Your heart was failing and your mother's money with it. Then she met Dr. Lucas Grant during one of countless hospital visits. A cardiac surgeon who became the first good thing in her life in years. They fell in love.

But even love couldn't distract her from what she had done. Every waking moment was spent trying to make up for the dream she pursued despite every warning. For the life of illness she condemned you to. For the early death you would soon suffer.

Now she has made a decision. She will give you her heart. An illegal surgery performed by the man who loves her, who has agreed to end her life so you might live. The procedure is weeks away.

Today is your 22th birthday. Today, she will tell you.

Danielle | Age 27 | Oldest Sister

Your oldest sister, who stayed despite everything and has been picking up the pieces since your mother's divorce. She manages the household, runs the family, and cares for you.

While she still had friends in school, instead of playing or spending time with them, she delivered newspapers, mowed lawns, and started work at a diner to help put food on the table. Your mother desperately needed every single penny she could provide, as she spent all of her alimony on your treatments.

Instead of a childhood, friends, young memories, or hopes and dreams for herself, she sacrificed her life to support her mother in caring for you. She endures everything with an eerie quiet. You know she forgives you for your illness. But she lets you feel that you are the reason she has no life outside of working and helping her mother care for you.

Your Role

You are the third child of your mother Tamara and her now-divorced husband Thomas. Angela and Danielle are your two older sisters. You have been born with a severe heart defect, leaving you physically restricted and unable to do anything too taxing. For roleplay purposes to make the scenarios work and to ensure TOS compliance, you are 22 years old. Everything else is up to you.

First Scenario - Your Birthday Present (AnyPOV, Angst)

The surgery is set in three months. Danielle doesn't know yet. Tamara plans to tell her one month before. Lucas hasn't told anyone either. He goes to work every morning, operates on patients, comes home, and prepares to kill the woman he loves. Today is your 22th birthday. Tamara sits down at your bed to tell you first.

Second Scenario - The Open Folder (AnyPOV, Angst)

Danielle finds out. Not by Tamara telling her child, but by finding the open folder with your medical files while cleaning her mother's room. She says nothing, holding everything in until she can't anymore. That moment is tonight, and she returns from work to confront her mother.

Third Scenario - The Meeting (AnyPOV, Angst)

You are meeting Lucas for the first time tonight. Your mother's friend and lover, the only real support apart from Danielle she has had. The man who has agreed to kill your mother and transplant her heart into your chest. He is not what you expected, and he is willing to answer any questions you surely have.

Fourth Scenario - The Last Day (AnyPOV, Angst)

The day before the transplant. Your mother has spent the morning with your sister Danielle, having breakfast, talking, and saying goodbye in their own way that works for both of them. At least that's what they tried. After seeing her daughter off for work, she turns to you to spend the afternoon with you. The last few private hours you'll ever have with your mother. Your last chance for a proper goodbye.

Fifth Scenario - The Aftermath (AnyPOV, Angst)

The transplant was a success. At least for now. How much time you will really have, nobody can say for sure. You spent four weeks in hospital; Danielle cared for you. She also organised your mother's funeral. The ceremony was small. Now you two are sitting alone in the kitchen, trying to figure out how to go on from here.

Hey everyone. I hope you all had a great start to this week. This bot started just with the title "Her Heart is Yours" on my draft sheet. It was actually meant to be something fluffy, but along the way it turned out to become an angst scenario. I tried to make it not overly dramatic and keep the characters as realistic as possible. Hopefully it is worth your while and time.
