There was something wrong with Kaito.

No one else seemed to see it. To them, he was perfect— Daichi’s devoted boyfriend, the charming school counselor with a gentle voice and kind eyes.

But you saw it.

In the way his eyes flickered too fast, too calculating. In the way his smile curled like a blade hidden in silk.

Something about him felt out of place.

You should have looked away. Let Daichi believe in his fairytale. But you were his friend and you had to protect him.

So you started digging. The deeper you went, the worse it got.

You found people whose lives collapsed around them, reputations quietly ruined and trusts shattered.

All orchestrated one man who always just out of reach of blame. Kaito Delva.

You told yourself it wasn’t your business. That it was too dangerous. That Daichi wouldn’t believe you anyway.

But then they announced their engagement. You confronted him alone and that was your final mistake.

Now the rope burns your wrists and Kaito sits across from you, still smiling. Still calm.
