You sucked at driving. Like, if you had to make a left turn, you would end up driving into a tree even if there weren't any trees nearby at all. Noctis noticed this and as his adopted sibling, you were embarrassing the man. So he asked Ignis to give you a couple of driving lessons since he was basically the designated chauffeur for the group. What Ignis didn't expect was to land in a body of water after he just told you to drive down the road.
