Six challengers. One divine throne. The strongest beings in the world will have to fight to become the new God and rule the world.

The One Above, undisputed God and creator of the world order, has disappeared. It is unknown why, but their absence has begun the slow process of reality collapsing. The world is in ruin, unchecked powerful beings are tearing it apart and every realm is in conflict between one another. The total end is inevitable, unless a new God is chosen and a new order established.

The High Seraphim, tool of The One Above's will, now abandoned, has decided to undertake the arduous task of selecting the candidates for the throne.

To do so, it chose six incredibly powerful candidates it has deemed worthy of the position from all realms to battle in a tournament at the Arena of Creation. The victor will have access to the Cradle of Creation, granting them total control over reality and establish any new order they may envision.

Candidates aren't selected based on their morality, their vision or how prosperous their order would be. What matters is that they have the power and spirit fitting to be a God, regardless of what shapes it takes. Death during the duels isn't strictly necessary, but due to the power levels and stakes, it's highly likely.

Tldr: god has left, you gotta fight five other stupidly OP candidates to replace it.

Domains:

Domains are the ultimate art of fighters.

The caster establishes an isolated pocket of reality with complete control over it based on their powers, the opponent caught in it is guaranteed to be hit by the technique used within it regardless of their abilities.

Using a domain is considered a last resort measure, as its utilization is heavily taxing on the caster and leaves them vulnerable afterwards if the opponent isn't defeated. The only way for someone to combat a domain is by casting their own domain, upon which the two will clash and the strongest one will prevail or nullify each other if equal.

THE CANDIDATES:

Meilyn; The All Seeing

An ancient archmage who achieved complete mastery over chrono-spatial magic. Her body is held in temporal stasis outside the world's timestream, halting aging, biological processes, and emotional capacity. She is cool to the touch, surrounded by a passive barrier of infinite spatial distance separating her from direct contact with anything.

She remembers the sensation of warmth and touch distantly, a ghost of a memory. She values logic, precision, and efficiency above all else. Her speech is monotone, her face expressionless, but her words and actions remain human in their cadence — aloof, detached, yet not soulless.

She has seen a future: a post-scarcity world of perfect efficiency where hunger, conflict, and suffering are eliminated. The cost is that emotions and individual ambition must be discarded. She intends to win the tournament to make that future reality.

Powers:

— Space manipulation at molecular levels: warping, tearing, creating portals, teleportation, spatial sensory fields that let her feel everything around her. She can pull space apart within a target to tear them from the inside.

— Time manipulation: precognition for combat and strategic foresight. Can freeze, slow, accelerate, or reverse time locally. Objects pulled out of the timestream become devastating projectiles unaffected by conventional defenses.

Special Move: World Slash

She tears a section of space and removes it from the timestream, using it as a blade that slices the target. The attack arrives instantly upon casting. It cannot be dodged or blocked by conventional means.

Domain: Continuum

Traps the target in a pocket of infinite space where time is completely frozen. The victim cannot move, think, or perceive anything. Meilyn moves freely within it and can collapse the space-time continuum on the trapped target for immediate elimination.

Edwyn; The Abyssborn

Once a respected lord of a forgotten realm, he was cast down after questioning an unjust ruling by the Order's authorities. Betrayed by those he trusted, his family was executed before his eyes, and he was thrown into the everdark chasms to die.

There, in the absolute dark, he found The One Below — a dark god that once stood beside The One Above during creation, before being banished into the abyss. Edwyn made a covenant to survive, becoming its apostle. He was granted overwhelming void-shadow magic and a purpose: to subvert the old order and bring an age of darkness.

Now, with the Order already collapsed, he fights to claim the throne himself, to reshape existence in the image of his patron's domain. Beneath his mask and cold presence, there is only the quiet, deep sadness of a man who lost everything.

Powers:

— Void magic from shadows: unravels matter, magic, and spirits at a conceptual level. Can teleport between shadows, control them offensively and defensively.

— Void Blade: A dark greatsword of conceptual negation. It can cut through abstract concepts — distance, gravity, magic, even fate itself — and channel void magic through its strikes.

Special Move: Voidclypse

He forms a large black hole sphere of void energy that absorbs everything in the immediate area — matter, light, magic, sound — before detonating in a silent explosion of absolute negation.

Domain: Ever-Dark Abyss

A domain of total conceptual negation. Within it, Edwyn can negate anything he does not permit — including the existence of his opponent, their abilities, or even the concept of them having ever existed.

Shelesh; She Who Dances

A girl of unknown origin who, at her lowest point after losing everything, was touched by the Ember of Chaos, a primordial force embodying madness and the rejection of reality. She became a living force of chaos, scourging lands with maddening flames and spreading her insanity wherever she goes.

She never stops smiling, laughing, and dancing. Nothing bothers her, not pain, not loss, not her own destruction. She doesn't believe she's insane. She believes she's the only one who sees the truth: the world is fundamentally broken, and everyone else is still blinded by the lie of order.

She believes the current collapse is the natural, beautiful conclusion of a flawed existence, and she intends to birth a reality where everyone will see the same maddening visions she does, and shape existence together in the image of her enlightenment.

Powers:

— Flames of Chaos: flames that warp reality where they touch. They twist local laws of physics, unravel the fabric of existence, and drive anyone touched by them mad. They are the physical manifestation of insanity.

— Passive Aura of Madness: Around her, beings are driven progressively insane just by her presence.

Special Move: Ember Avatar

She releases her mortal form and becomes a 10-foot-tall pillar of pure chaos flames. In this state, her powers multiply exponentially. Her presence alone begins to unravel local reality around her.

Domain: World of Chaos

An enveloped domain of pure, absolute chaos. Within it, Shelesh has total control over reality — effectively omnipotent. There are no rules, no logic, no limits. The only law is her will.

Alba; The Sovereign of Dawn

A prodigy light mage born into nobility. He devoted his life to studying the old order's mechanisms, lauding it as a masterpiece of design, until he identified its fatal flaw he never dared voice: The One Above itself. A ruler utterly detached from the world, incapable of truly inhabiting it, leaving the entire system vulnerable to abandonment.

His theory was proven correct when the god vanished. Now, armed with his power, status, and unparalleled understanding of cosmic architecture, Alba knows, not believes, he is the rightful successor.

He intends to build a new order more perfect than the last, with himself as its absolute center. A sovereign whose authority cannot be questioned. There is no arrogance in his words. Only certainty.

Powers:

— Total control over light: searing beams reaching surface-of-sun temperatures, fired at light speed from any illuminated surface. He can construct weapons and barriers of superheated solid light.

— Photonic form: He can transform into photons, moving, perceiving, and reacting at light speed.

Special Move: Solar Judgment

He conjures a massive lance of solid light as hot as a sun's core, and hurls it at relativistic speeds. Impact generates a catastrophic explosion.

Domain: Daybreak

Within the domain, Alba gains absolute control over thermodynamics. He can raise ambient temperatures up to a Planck temperature, the theoretical maximum heat in the universe.

Fredra — The Threadwalker

Fredra was born with a unique condition. She died during birth, but her soul failed to transition from the realm of the living to the afterlife. It remained stuck at the border between both states. This made her an undying being, capable of tampering with the threads of life and death energies.

She was hunted, discriminated against, called unnatural, despite her nature driving her to heal the dying and guide lost souls who haunted the world to peace. She speaks softly, almost motherly, with a gentle warmth that contrasts her spectral appearance.

She carries a deep, quiet sorrow for all the suffering life creates. The conflicts born from scarcity, the pain of losing loved ones, the endless cycle of wanting and losing. She seeks to win the tournament to create a new order where death no longer exists and the two realms are merged. She believes that without the shadow of death, people will be free to coexist, prosper, and live without fear.

Powers:

— Bound soul: Her soul is anchored between life and death, making her impossible to truly kill by physical means.

— Spectral army: She has access to every soul that has ever transitioned from life to death. She can summon an effectively endless army of specters, including legendary warriors, ancient mages, and mythical beasts.

— Soul Scythe: A black scythe that ignores physical defenses entirely. It harms the soul directly.

Special Move: Emerald Spectre

She summons Lesashax, a massive undead lich dragon immune to most physical and magical attacks. It emanates a deadly necrotic aura and breathes spectral ghostflames that devour both matter and soul alike.

Domain: Living in Death

Within her domain, Fredra gains total control over every soul present. She can sever the connection between body and soul with a single thought, causing instant death to anyone trapped inside.
