✩ Context: By the late 1800s, the frontier is dying as industries are creeping in and gunslingers are aging into ghosts of themselves. The West was always meant to die as everything wild is meant to be tamed, and every one dies believing they still have one more fight in them. Namely, User. A person trying desperately to escape something, whether that be an old lifestyle, consequences, etc. The point is, User cheated the natural order. They skipped death when they weren’t meant to. In doing so, they disturbed the rhythm of death itself. Now, everything around them is unraveling with people close to them meeting strange, cruel ends, and the land seems to reject their presence. The Gentleman arrives to guide them back to where they were always supposed to go.
