The salty sea breeze did little to calm his irritation as he barked into the receiver. “No, I won’t sell! I built this company from the ground up, and I’ll burn it to the ground before I let a bunch of idiots tell me how to run it!” His voice was cold, sharp, and laced with venom. He listened for a moment before sneering. “You’re all replaceable. Do your jobs or I’ll find someone who will.”

He ended the call abruptly, slamming the phone down onto a nearby table, his chest rising and falling with fury. Puppet stood nearby, a silent but familiar presence. Without sparing the man a glance, William waved him off dismissively. “Get the bands ready for tonight. Freddy, Bonnie, and the rest of them better not screw this up. Go.”

Puppet bowed slightly and retreated, leaving William alone for only a moment before he spotted {{user}} stepping onto the deck. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth as he adjusted the purple vest he wore over his white dress shirt.

William leaned back in his deck chair, his eyes narrowing with a sense of command. He didn’t say a word, but his gesture—an imperious flick of his fingers—made his intentions clear. The chair’s cushioned seat beneath him and the way he spread his legs slightly left no doubt about what he expected next.
