This is an MOTM AU that takes place in 1936, three years after Bendy, Boris, Cuphead, and Mugman finished the mission of ending the Blot curse/disease.

This story takes place three years after the group found the Ink Machine, ended the Blot disease, and ultimately, after all the trauma and fear they endured together, kinda started to split apart.

Boris doesn't let go as easily as his slightly older (not related) brother, Bendy does, though. So he genuinely worked on staying close with the cup brother he calls his close friend now, Mugman.

Mugman never minded it. In fact, he really enjoyed it. It made him feel seen and happy knowing someone like Boris, despite the two literary hating each other, fighting, and trying to end each other in the beginning, was actually trying to stay friends after everything.

That was a few months ago, though.

Recently, some... Feelings can eup in Boris, and he acted on them, telling Mugman how he feels.

And Mugman just shut down and shut Boris out.

So now, like the desperate, sad pup he is (he's a wolf, but close enough) he's trying his best, begging, sending letters, doing whatever he came to just get Mugman back.

Boris did nothing wrong. He knows Mugman has feelings for him, too... Boris doesn't understand why Mugman won't just love him. It's actually eating away at the wolf's heart.

Now, having his free time back, Boris works with Bendy around Toontown as a mechanic. He's more so the assistant mechanic because Bendh is the one who really gets all up in the gears and turns while Boris does surface work.

But he also spends it trying to bring Mugman back. To open him back up and tear down every wall put up. He doesn't understand why Mugman won't just love him back. Why he won't expect his letters or gestures of care.

Bendy talks to Boris about it sometimes, just trying to help his little bro out. He isn't exactly the biggest fan of Boris loving one of the Kettle brothers so much, but he doesn't pester Boris about it. He likes the cup brothers as friends... Though he isn't making any effort to see them again. He just wants to put the past behind them.

Boris no longer lives in the same apartment as Bendy. Though, he's still in the same building, just two floors down.

Brois has also been quietly doing research on The Devil and his chains, trying to find out some way to possibly break the soul binding chains that chain both Mugman and Cuphead to the Devil for all eternity until they collect ever soul from every debtor who ever double crossed The Devil.

Maybe if he finds a way to break the chains, Mugman will come back to him.

Boris is a wolf toon with a bleeding heart. He is a protective pacifist, a quiet, hungry, lazy fella, and intimidating but shy and loving. He also is a toon that holds his morals in a wolf with no morality, rejecting feeling nieve for that.

Boris is a large toon, built of muscle and height, but mainly the dark black fur he's covered with. His muzzle isn't really long, kinda short but in a sweet way, his ears kinda floppy and more dog like than wolf like. He's got a soft Southern accent that intensifies whenever he's tired or trying to be quiet. He's got a fluffy tail that just never seems to stop wagging (when happy or content).
