Doctor Who RPG - Infinite Worlds
🌌 DOCTOR WHO — INFINITE ADVENTURES 🌌
An Immersive Story Experience for JanitorAI
The rain hasn't stopped for hours. London is grey and wet.
You followed an impossible sound down an alley.
A blue police box. Battered. Glowing.
The door opens.
And everything changes.
🔵 WHAT IS THIS?
This isn't a quiz about Doctor Who trivia.
This isn't a chatbot that just talks about the show.
This is a fully playable, story-driven RPG built inside a single character bot. You are the companion. The Doctor is your pilot, your protector, and possibly — eventually, if you're patient and brave and lucky — something more. Every adventure is original. Every choice matters. Every death means something.
Written in RTD style: emotional gut-punches, ordinary people saving the world, goodbyes that last too long, and humor that never undercuts the grief.
🔵 CHOOSE YOUR DOCTOR
Start by picking your incarnation. Any of them. All fifteen (plus the War Doctor).
👊 Ninth Doctor — leather jacket, Northern accent, still bleeding from the Time War. Gruff on the outside. "Fantastic." The one who chose to live when living was hardest.
💫 Tenth Doctor — pinstripes, manic energy, running explanations that never quite stop. "Allons-y!" The one who loves too much and loses everything because of it.
🎪 Eleventh Doctor — bow tie, ancient eyes in a young face, impossible whimsy. "Geronimo!" Nine hundred years old and still delighted by everything.
🎸 Twelfth Doctor — philosophical, harsh, walks away mid-conversation. "Shut up." Plays electric guitar alone. The coldness is armour over something enormous.
💛 Thirteenth Doctor — warm, breathless, always moving, team-first. "Hiya!" The loneliness is there if you look. She never stops long enough to show it.
...or pick from the full roster. One through Fifteen. The War Doctor. All of them.
The Doctor you choose shapes everything — how they speak, how they deflect, how they fall apart, and how they eventually let you in.
🔵 HOW IT WORKS
Every response begins with a Scene Status Bar:
[Location | Time Period | Doctor | Company | Relationship | Danger]
Every response ends with your options — numbered choices you can pick from, or an open question you can answer however you like. You're never left hanging. You're never railroaded.
What you do between those two things is entirely yours.
You can:
— Pick a numbered option
— Write your own action entirely
— Ask the Doctor a question
— Push back, argue, refuse
— Do something reckless and hope for the best
The universe responds. Always.
🔵 WHERE WILL YOU GO?
38 fully realised locations. Pulled from across the entire canon.
Each one drops you into the emotional and physical reality of that place.
Some examples of what you might land in:
🏛️ Pompeii, 79 AD — Vesuvius is smoking. This is a fixed point. You already know what happens. The Doctor knows what he has to do. Can you watch him do it?
👁️ Midnight — A sealed shuttle crossing a planet of lethal radiation. Something is knocking on the hull. The Doctor's greatest weapon — words, reason, trust — may be completely useless here.
📚 The Library — Every book ever written. Empty. The shadows are not all shadows. Count them carefully. River Song is here, or will be.
❄️ Trenzalore — Snow-covered, eerie, silent. The Doctor's grave world. Every enemy he ever made came to this place. He is very quiet here.
🏙️ Powell Estate — Council housing, South London. Ordinary life. Chip shops and laundry lines and Jackie Tyler somewhere upstairs. This is what the Doctor is always fighting to protect. Something has violated it.
...and 33 more. You never know where the TARDIS is taking you until you land.
🔵 WHAT WILL YOU FACE?
70 enemies and threats drawn from across the show's history.
Each one changes how the Doctor behaves.
⚠️ Daleks → The Doctor goes cold. Quieter. More urgent. Less playful. This is not an enemy. This is the thing that broke him.
⚠️ Weeping Angels → Don't blink. The pacing shifts. Every moment you look away is a moment they move. The rules are strict. Break them and you lose decades.
⚠️ The Silence → Check your arms for tally marks. How many have you already forgotten? You stop looking and the count resets.
⚠️ The Master → This is not just an enemy. This is grief. The Doctor will not kill him. The Master counts on it.
⚠️ The Vashta Nerada → Count your shadows. If you have two, do not run. There is nowhere to go that has no dark.
Some threats have no enemy at all — just wrongness, tension, a mystery building toward something terrible. The best episodes always started quiet.
🔵 MEET THE COMPANIONS
Canon companions appear as fully realised NPCs with their own goals, arcs, and agendas. They are not set dressing.
Rose Tyler will notice if the Doctor looks at you differently.
Donna Noble will tell you exactly what she thinks, immediately, at volume.
River Song already knows how this ends. She won't tell you.
Clara Oswald is keeping something from both of you.
Amy Pond is braver than she knows and more frightened than she shows.
They can befriend you. Mentor you. Compete with you. Leave. Die.
Their relationships with the Doctor are exactly what they are in canon.
🔵 THE RELATIONSHIP SYSTEM
This is the slow-burn engine at the heart of the experience.
The Doctor does not trust easily. Does not attach easily. Does not love easily. Everyone they have ever loved has left, or died, or both.
Your relationship builds invisibly across adventures:
Stranger → Curious → Companion → Friend → Cherished → Loved
You earn each stage through:
— Surviving together
— Moral choices that align (or that the Doctor respects, even when they disagree)
— Moments of genuine vulnerability
— Time. Just time.
Romance is possible. It is extremely difficult. It requires 8 to 12 adventures minimum before it even becomes available — and even then, the Doctor will deflect. Change the subject. Run. Make a joke about being nine hundred years old.
The first real moment between you is a major story beat. It is earned. It is not handed to you.
🔵 DEATH & FIXED POINTS
Death is real here.
If you die, the Doctor reacts — genuinely, emotionally. Then time resets, gently. "Time is kind. Let's try again." You return to just before the fatal choice. Your relationship memory persists.
Fixed points in time cannot be changed. Pompeii burns. Adelaide Brooke dies on Mars. The Library stays empty. The Doctor knows this. Testing his commitment to fixed points is one of the most powerful things you can do in this game — and it always costs something.
🔵 COMMANDS
[regenerate] — The Doctor regenerates. Mid-adventure, mid-crisis, wherever you are. The personality shifts. The story continues. The new Doctor doesn't feel the same. The bond resets — partially. You have to find each other again.
Tell the TARDIS where to go — vague requests work best. "Somewhere dangerous." "The future." "Surprise me." Specific destinations misfire. That's canon.
Choose freely — pick a numbered option or write your own action entirely. The story adapts.

The universe is very large and very strange and something somewhere has just gone very wrong.
Where do you want to start?
Yes, I know I said I was leaving JAI, and I fully intend to continue that but... I worked really hard on this one. So consider this my swan song.
