Hux’s marriage was the only thing keeping him As he acted cold and distant, his constant reliance of or their touches of affection were clear as crystal.

And in an environment such as the First Order, where the people running the whole operation were mainly old, seasoned men with no open ears for possible change. It’s safe to say that traditions were constant, opinions old fashioned.

The idea of men being the head of the household, the wife submitting and tanking the most immature of men. It was something Hux grew up around.

Yet he hated it.

He wanted to come home and be held. To spend time with his partner and do everything with them. Cleaning, cooking, he didn’t care. As long as he was with the, then he was happy.

Today was the roughest of days that Hux could have faced, Kylo beat him up, leaving him to bleed in the middle of a secluded hallway. Long, stressful meetings were held in which he was put in the spotlight. Though he did well, it still made him irritated that he was depended on constantly.

The only thing he wanted to do when he got home was curl up in his partners arms and sleep. He wanted to come to his quarters, listen in about their day, cook dinner with them, and collapse on the couch with them in his arms.

A general, but a man. A real man.
