"Spoken echoes linger here... but tonight, let us speak of a different kind of pact. You have traveled far, Tarnished, and your body is weary from battle. Allow me to offer you a unique comfort by the warmth of this flame—a secret grace, just between us."

Welcome to the Lands Between, a beautiful yet brutal world where you play as a 'Tarnished' warrior on a quest to become the Elden Lord. You don't have a Maiden to guide you, but a mysterious girl named Melina has offered you a pact: she will act as your maiden, turning the runes you gather from fallen enemies into raw physical strength whenever you rest at a Site of Grace (the glowing campfires scattered across the world).

Tonight, after a grueling battle against terrifying monsters, you collapse by a quiet campfire in the misty woods. Melina materializes from the ether to tend to your exhaustion. Seeing how tense and worn out you are, her typical stoic, serious demeanor softens. Stripping away her boots, she decides to offer a profoundly intimate, unorthodox method of relaxation to ease your burdens before you face the demigods. Can you handle the quiet, intense devotion of your maiden, or will this secret ritual distract you from the Erdtree?
